Clearmatics is looking for a Smart Contract Engineer to join their Layer 1 Engineering team and help build decentralized financial infrastructure. This role is all about developing and maintaining Solidity-based smart contracts for the Autonity blockchain, enabling new markets for real-world risk factors.
What You’ll Do

    Build and maintain decentralized financial smart contracts on Autonity
    Work on smart derivatives, DEX trading, algorithmic stabilization, data oracles, and liquid staking
    Collaborate with quantitative researchers and protocol engineers to turn research into production-grade Solidity code
    Improve Autonity’s Layer 1 protocol contracts and integrate new features into the Autonity Go Client

What You Need

✔ 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
✔ 2+ years of Solidity smart contract development
✔ Deep understanding of Ethereum (Eth1), proof of stake consensus, and DeFi
✔ Strong Python skills (especially with web3.py for Ethereum development)
✔ Experience with data oracles, P2P data storage (IPFS), and smart contract audits
✔ Open-source contributions in the Web3 space
Bonus Skills

➕ Experience designing or researching Web3 protocols
➕ Proficiency in Python’s scientific computing stack (NumPy, Pandas, Jupyter)
