MetaMask, the world’s leading Web3 wallet, is expanding its Delegation team and looking for a Staff Solidity Engineer to help build and refine the Delegation Framework—a key system that enables secure, flexible permission structures on Ethereum and other EVM-compatible chains. This role is perfect for an experienced Solidity developer who wants to push the boundaries of Web3 security, usability, and scalability.
What You’ll Be Doing

🔹 Improve and expand the Delegation Framework, focusing on security, gas efficiency, and scalability
🔹 Build and optimize smart contract features, including contract accounts, cross-chain functionalities, and zero-knowledge proof integrations
🔹 Work closely with internal teams, partners, and the open-source community to drive adoption and usability
🔹 Stay on the cutting edge of Ethereum research and smart contract innovation
🔹 Maintain top-tier documentation, tooling, and examples for seamless developer onboarding
What You Need to Bring

✅ 5+ years of industry experience, including 3+ years of Solidity development with a deep understanding of EVM mechanics
✅ Proven ability to build secure, gas-optimized, and scalable smart contracts
✅ Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript for Web3 development
✅ Familiarity with Ethereum standards like multisig wallets, ERC-1271, ERC-4337 Account Abstraction, and ERC-7702
✅ Experience with open-source development and collaborative workflows
✅ Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment
Bonus Points If You Have

➕ Experience with cross-chain solutions and bridges
➕ Knowledge of zero-knowledge proofs and their applications in blockchain
➕ Familiarity with MetaMask’s Delegation Framework or similar permission systems
