Tackling corruption in Nigeria from the family level

Corruption has eaten deep in the country so those who supposed speak out can't again because they will be hunt thoae corrupt people followers. Those whom we elected to go and fight for us are more corrupt that they join the oppressors to suffer us again.

The recent issue that came up - that’s the Corper saga really opened the eyes of so many people in this country or should I say - it made them come back to their senses because I’m not sure that there are people out there in this country who still haven’t felt the crazy inflation that’s been happening in this country no matter how rich you are you’ll still know that the prices of things are now crazy high and despite all that the people have been quiet and for what reason? Because they know that those in power are corrupt and if they should speak up they might end up endangering themselves just as how the Corper lady was threatened.

Corruption the the cancer that is destroying Nigeria as a country with the way things are now corruption has become a culture and a way of life in the country because in virtually all aspects of the country it's now a tradition to settle people in any office that you find yourself

But what is the main cause of corruption  in the country and where did corruption starts getting into the the mind of people especially the young generation of Nigeria that is coming up because looking at the younger generations of the country when it comes to the issue of corruption there is no hope for the country because the younger generations which is the hope of the country is even more worst

But for Nigeria to get it right in terms of tackling corruption in the country it is from the family level that this can be achieved because as children learnt takes place subconsciously and what ever these children see their parents and elderly people do around them is what they will grow with when the people they are looking up to as their heroes which are their parents and family members around them practice and talk about corruption as being a normal thing these children too will grow up with such characters

Family is a mini society, this is because everyone in the society came from a family, be it a igbo, yoruba, or hausa family and because of this if a family is grounded in the right and positive doctrine, a doctrine free from any form of corruption, it will be very difficult to have corrupt individuals in the society. So the best way to tackle corruption in the society is to begin with each family, because new generations keep springing up everyday from various families. The best way of tackling corruption at the family level is to provide public awareness programs that talks about the danger of corruption on the society, the individual as well as the family.

Truly good family ethic helps develop children making them better individual, instilling good manners, mindset and qualities into children helps the family, help the society and the country as a whole,but we know the world is full of temptation and peer pressure where good individuals are later corrupted by the world so instilling a strong mindset where they are able to handle any temptation is also important. Whatever children learns that is bad or evil spoken off, they learn it very fast and become very good at it. It is a few that will show interest in learning something of positive report and value. Parents can do that which they can in giving advice, only those who will take it, will it be of value to. Peer groups is another thing, cause not all parents will want to teach bad things to their children, but peer groups the child associate with will cause another effect on the children choice in decision making.

It is almost normal now that in every group, there is always a bad egg, who will want to bring something contrary, be it good or bad. If all parents can really teach their children good morals and behaviour, attitudes, then the government taking their own part seriously will help reduce and stop corruption in the country.

The only solution to fight corruption is a sudden change of Currency to another denomination because the love of money and control of a state is the caused of all these corruptions. Wike is not a governor in Rivers State yet he is still interested in Rivers funds and controlling the state and creating his own structure in the state. And like this he is doing everything to sustain the structure he has created. And once you remove money from the state, he will withdraw on his own.

And since the sudden change of Currency can't happen, corruption can't be stopped as well and it will continue until good revolution by the masses and this revolution is first to the Nigerian Army and Police because they are the ones supporting the corrupt leaders in the country.

The future of the children depends on how the parents laid their foundation, it is very important to give the children proper home training because they are the leaders of tomorrow. The attitude, character and behavior of the children in future depend on the things they observed from the parents, leaders and also from people that they are living in the same environment with. It is better they address corruption bribery and other criminal act in the country. The way corruption is increasing in this country every day sometimes makes me wonder if those leaders were raised by good parents because, regardless of your position, you should have someone to guide you in a positive direction when things don't seem right. I agree that giving kids a solid foundation will help fight corruption in this country, but do parents today care again? After all, most parents used to fail at their duties, and kids learn from how they're raised, and if they don't receive proper home training, they won't be able to sympathize with others.

Because of the way politics are perceived in the nation, a lot of money is spent on electioneering, winners often reimburse themselves after winning, and many godfathers receive settlements.

Ultimately, the person who was raised with moral values starts to display corrupt tendencies. Until the system of politicking is changed and corruption is tackled generally, the individual cannot act any different.

That is why you feel disgust or hopelessness when you have understood how complex politics of this country is. However I found that even if the surroundings of a person is destroyed, a person’s character can remain unscathed if there is conviction in what he owns. That is the problem of the work: for the one who makes an effort to enter and rise without being overwhelmed. If good people also disappear thinking that they will be polluted just like the others in their respective neighbourhood, there will be no proportion. That is why I think that if people stop regarding the office as the key to wealth and use it for the honest work, then politics can gradually turn into something that is more reasonable to believe in.
