if for beginners have to learn and continue to learn to understand what is in altcoin forums, do not follow bounty and follow other projects, learning earlier.

My advice. There will be ups and downs, there will be victories and defeats, this is Crypto World and you need to be prepared for everything and not lose heart at a difficult moment. Learn, get certain knowledge and a band of this you will tolerate a minimum of errors and get the maximum profit. Good luck friends =)

-continue researching into anything that interests you, other projects and coins and their roadmaps, teams, etc. It doesn't hurt to learn about markets and technical analysis. People will only shill their holdings and advise you to buy those to better their position. Learn about the best way to protect your investments and you seem to already be doing that with adding a Ledger Nano. Good luck.
-Before investing, read as much as you can. Also you should take into account positive and negative comments.
Never sell altcoins, if the price is less that you have invested. It's better to wait in order not to lose.
-The main advise for newbie is not to try to trade. It's very hard job even for experienced guys.
The second advice is that you should always diversify your risks. Make 2 portfolios. The first one is for long term hodl, the second one is for ICO investment. Each of them should consists of 3-10 coins/projects.
Add in advices that you want to give. :)

If you are a newbie, you have to exert time and effort in reading threads for you to have idea about bitcointalk ang bitcoin. You have to know the rules and regulations also to know what are the do's and dont's here in the forum.

You'll need to convert US Dollars to Bitcoin, Ethereum or Litecoin to start. You can do this at Coinbase ($10 free with this link) or at Kraken https://www.kraken.com which is also an exchange where crypto is traded. Both require ID verification. If you use Coinbase you'll need to send your funds to an exchange like Bittrex or Poloniex.

I fully agree with the TS, very correct words and not just for beginners. I think the most important thing is to learn a lot of information, the more you know the easier it is to navigate in the crypto.
