I only give true stories from around me in the cryptocurrency space. This pure true story was told by himself when talking to me via Phone.
I have a friend, he even knew cryptocurrency since 2013 but got involved massively in 2017 when there were many ICOs. He also said that forums like altcoinstalks and bitcointalk have been inactive since 2019 (unfortunately, I was not told which username his account was, maybe to protect his privacy) and since then he has only worked on airdrops.
Then a few days ago he called me and said something like this:
-I see that in 2025 I have given up, I no longer want to be involved in cryptocurrency for many reasons, including the price of cryptocurrency not being like 2013 to 2021.
-He also said that from 2022 until now the cryptocurrency market is saturated and cannot be relied on to take advantage of trading.
-He also said "Just look now, Bitcoin seems reluctant to go up again and many altcoins have dropped in price so sharply".
I heard his words on the phone like with a cynical tone and disappointment towards cryptocurrency.
For those of you who have known cryptocurrency for a long time from 2021 onwards, is my friend's statement valid with what you are feeling right now?
Read through all the amazing perspectives, and I believe crypto is moving in the right direction. Mass adoption doesn’t happen overnight it takes time.
Plus, you mentioned your friend is mostly into airdrops. That’s still profitable, but it’s gotten harder since more people jumped into the game over the past year. Your friend might just be facing a rough patch.
That said, we’ve been seeing a lot of adoption lately, with influential figures like Trump pushing for it. 2025 could turn out to be a pleasant surprise for the crypto community!
