Hello guys, I learned something new today and I'd be selfish not to share it. This is actually going to be helpful for people going for an interview or someone looking for an investor for their company. You know that most of the time, if someone doesn't have anything to offer, they may not be relevant, because life is a give-and-take.
Now, what did I actually want to teach you? I want to take you through how you can easily sell yourself or pitch yourself, as many call it, to the extent that you won't be taken for granted.
Here's how:
(1) When pitching yourself, try as much as possible to create a problem. Imagine having a shop beside a road where there's always traffic congestion of 1 to 2 hours, and luckily for you, you sell water, drinks, and fast food. Your business has been booming, making big sales, and you're now popular. Suddenly, the government decides to find a quick solution to the traffic issue, and this becomes a disadvantage for you because people no longer wait in traffic, get tired, and come to eat at your place. BIG PROBLEM!
(2) Now, create a solution for the problem you created initially. The owner could barely feed herself again because she had no customers. One day, she decided to consult an agency like ours for advice on how to level up and rise again despite the lack of traffic. We did our research and found that the customers she once had were still eager to have a taste of her food, but the situation that brought them together was no longer available. We advised the woman to collect the customers' data with their permission. Through the internet, we alerted them when they were about to leave the office, and we got a rider to deliver their orders. We also built an app for them to place orders, which we'd answer immediately. Then, PROBLEM SOLVED!
This type of pitch will surely get the investors interested or the interviewer interested in what you have to say, because storytelling that provides solutions is part of our culture.
