Negative karma

I kept getting negative karma even though I barely make a post in this forum. 
All I post are bump posts and update posts on the campaigns and my service threads. If I receive neg karma for those, does that mean it's frown upon to make such posts? or is somebody doing this out of spite?

Also, is there any way to view who gave you positive or negative karma?

No mate, From what i know, technically karma is given based on user awareness. From this case, you should try to contact the admin to ask for more complete instructions, because of the limitations of the system made about merit only admins can see the entire merit history.

Keep in mind that abusing the merit system will make users unable to give merit to anyone anymore, it can be said that the function of giving merit is stopped for those who abuse merit (give negative karma repeatedly).

I guess this is something normal but it your case it probably just from users who accepted on your campaign and those who didn't, or maybe its really because of those bumps. Checking who gave you karma is mentioned already but it needs payment and never tried it yet...

Receiving negative karma once in a while is perfectly fine and can't be seen as an abuse unless the person is giving you negative karma every 12 hours or 1 per day with no real reason.

About OP, it's probably someone who is not accepted when applied, if you keep getting the nagative karma the admin might check the log and see if someone is abusing it for personal reasons.

You have enough positive karma to be at ease in the face of negative karma, so just relax!
As long as you bring the most attractive campaigns to members, you will still be respected and loved!

There is much discussion surrounding knowing who gave karma to members posts, however we fear that this could make AltcoinsTalks less friendly. I think members only need to know they received karma for which posts, then they will be able to strive to create more value for the forum, while also appealing unreasonable negative karma.

julerz12, after reviewing the logs from August of last year until a few weeks ago, I have not seen anything “abnormal” regarding the negative and positive Karma you receive. There is no predefined pattern for how negative karma is received, so you don't need to worry. You shouldn't give karma more importance than it really has. Anyway, you can always use the Eye of Sauron as other users have told you.

An off topic question, I thought only admin has the access to Karma logs or atleast that's how it used to be.

Since when others got the access, I believe this is to reduce the work load of admin and not giving up easily on the Karma abusers, so if I have any suspicious who else can I share the details apart from admin.

For a few months now, global moderators (I think all of them, but I'm not 100% sure) have access to Karma logs, this is something we've said on the forum several times. Before anyone asks, no, we can't share the information in those logs with users, but if we see abuse by a user or group of users, we will act accordingly.

If you have any suspicions you can open a thread or you can also send a PM to me or any other global moderator.

As far as I remember, only president and vice president. Global moderators don't have access by default.

personally i do not think this is a bad thing as the posts or threads you are bumping are related to projects and campaigns and not just random posts that offer no substance or benefit to the forum

Seen too much drama in Bitcoin talk when a similar situation happens but here we have an opportunity to do it anonymously so I will pick that one any day.
