Metamask has announced its payment card. For now, there is not much information about conditions, price and other costs
Supported regions: United States*, United Kingdom, European Union, Switzerland, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia

Holders will receive 3% USDC cashback on the first $10,000 spend annually, then 1% after that. (terms and conditions apply)

This is interesting. I have seen this on my feed and I have to say, it looks good. It seems like a good way to adapt and use crypto for everyday use. It's a great addition to the cards.

I only have the crypto.com metal card but I barely use it anymore.

I think this is very much geared towards their users who hold ETH in stake through their platform. I think, WETH can be used even if the underlying Ethereum is still locked in the stake pool.

Sadly my country is not supported. I guess it's easier for companies to limit their services to the US and the usual list, but still disappointing if you want to use one and live in Asia.

I wonder why they launched this service. Is it simply because they want to earn more and crypto transaction volume has increased?

That's good point, although i think it still doesn't make sense they don't bother support ETH when
1. Some staking option are either custodial or give different wrapped token (e.g. rETH if you use Rocket Pool).
2. WETH supply is about 2.9M[1] while ETH have supply is about 120.6M[2].

I wonder whether they have data that we don't access to (such as active MetaMask user usually own WETH),
