It happens to me sometimes. Instead of waiting for the game to finish, I catch myself already planning what I’ll buy or do with the money… but then, I don’t win! 😅 Is it just me being too hopeful, or do you do this too?

Well it happens to almost anyone I think and this happened to me also. This thing is normal and the thing is that is where you will get the frustration or disappointment for not winning. I personally end that kinda thing early and just wait for the results without thinking for something like that so I won't get disappointed.

of course it happens lol it’s quite dangerous because for me once i get my mind into something i usually have to make it happen or it will drive me insane so if i already thought about buying something with the earnings from gambling that’s all i could ever think about so if i lose, i might go and try to chase losses which obviously would be a bad idea

It is a normal human tendency. I think it happens more in sports betting when your 3 leg parlay is about to win you a 10x . I usually play poker (mid and low stakes) and have to continuously focus on present action, therefore leaving less time for speculations.

Lol that’s hilarious. But funny enough, a lot of gamblers do this, fantasizing what and what they’re gonna do with the money when the game is yet to be decided. And the truth is that this habit can be pretty unhealthy as it may give rise to unintended emotional outbursts when the game finally goes against your expectations and when this happens, you may end up making some decisions that you may regret later. The best thing is to wait for the game to finish before you make any plans when the prize is already in the safety of your hands.

it makes the disappointment too extreme when you already have plans on what to do with the money while the money isn't in your pocket yet. its like celebrating while the game is still going on. i think all of us are exactly planning what to do with the money we get after wagering, for me i'm more likely to wager the money i will win.

but sure its still a plan and i would be disappointed when i lose.

Just as I have posted on the other forum, this kind of imagination comes to someone's mind when they bet on parley. Example is having 100 odds. Bet with $20 to win $2000. Or bet with $20 to win 1000 odds which is $20000.  Such imagination will come to mind but the chance that will happen is very low.

I had a big plan on how to spend the money that I have not won yet and that made me have that eagerness to bet. After the result is out, I do feel disappointed in the outcome because I must have lost the bet. Gambling is not business that profits is guaranteed when you see a sure client. Gambling is based on luck. Win before planning.

Stemming from this, when something is made to seem palpable, the mind does not stop exploring even more things and dimensions that could be possibly done. It may be initiated before the results are available or are with us or in our labs. Of course, when it becomes clear that at the end you are not going to receive whatever it is you were hoping for, you experience some letdown, this defines hope. Everyone must have felt something like this, for dreaming is innate in human nature. The most important thing is the ability to enjoy each step without overly worrying about what is not clear.

I hope that if you are spending the money in your head you are not going ahead to get into debt in expectation of winning because that would be a very terrible financial move to be making, especially as a young person. People who have the habit of getting into debt the moment they begin to expect some amount of money, it is not the best financial behavior to have.

I think this happens to every gambler. Sometimes, when I am in a good position in a any bet, such thoughts come to my mind without my knowledge. When I realize it, I remove myself from that thought. Because I know that it is completely foolish to think about winning in gambling until I win. Moreover, I have lost some bets in the past where my chances of winning were very high. I was sure that I would win there but i didn't win, accidents can happen at any time in a bet, which is why I don't want to be sure until I win.

Sometimes I do, it kind of gives a good feel when we live in a fantasy world and everything just happen as we expected it to be.

But it becomes an issue when we started imagining even before the bet because it might influence on our spending and eventually we might bet more than with a hope that we are going to win and our life is going to change completely.

That's like counting your eggs when you chicken hasn't even lay any eggs. Most of the time, what you get is disappointment and to avoid such just do your thing and gamble the game first, if it's comes you can decide what you want to do with the money later since you must have had plans of some money in your mind, just let it play out first.

Having this kind of mindset, your thinking of the potential win can affect you emotionally, you will make some decisions that will not be on the interest of the game but on your own side that will make you win and in the end, you wouldn't even make anything later.
