Ethereum is a threat to bitcoin? Yes it is. We all know that Ethereum was created by a Russian programmer on 2013, and it was launched on 2015. After 3 years it is next to bitcoin in terms of popularity and value.

But here comes Ethereum the prince of cryptocurrency just like Ben Simmons as the prince of the NBA. The prince will dethrone the king on the eastern conference finals same as Ethereum that will dethrone bitcoin in the next couple of years. Whether we like it or not the king will reach its limit. I think there is great probability that ethereum will compete to bitcoin in terms of value and demands in the future. But to tell exactly when is hard to predict because the gap of ethereum and bitcoin as of today is very far in terms of its value. But this is possible to happen that ethereum will level up to bitcoin maybe in the long future.

For me it's not a threat for bitcoin but really alternative for bitcoin.Imagine a big sullort of ethereum amd altcoins can expand the bitcoin and crypto currency.

I did not consider Ethereum as a treat to bitcoin because looking at the market today the value of ethereum is very far behind compare to bitcoin and even its market cap and popularity bitcoin is still the supreme among two coins.
