I've watched F1 races before on TV but I never placed a bet. Gambling here is more technical than how it looks. It's not just looking at the drivers but also checking out the technology, engines, tire/pit stop strategies each team uses in each race. In the past, I thought it's just some drivers are better but I learned that some teams have done some workarounds to the existing rules at the time to gain advantage. In the next season, new rule was implemented to remove that advantage. Before betting, it's probably best to watch the qualifying test to gauge which team/driver could potentially win.
