I really don't understand why these apps actually need to access users' geographic locations. Of course, they claim it's for pricing and other offers, but no one really knows how this sensitive information is used.

Personally, I disable GPS and the Maps app on Windows and on my mobile device because I don't use or need these services, especially since some apps block me based on my geographic location. Therefore, the best solution is to disable these services.

Always the same story... The GPS that Windows wants to enable at all costs is so that Microsoft and its friends can continue to learn more about their users' habits. That's nothing new. In short, all of these apps were accessing location data without permission, and now they're forced to request permission (which means they can access your location without granting the required permissions).


There are some services that spoof your location, but I prefer to remove it physically.
