when someone is asking you about wanting to earn some extra money and you try to recommend cryptocurrency because it’s what you have been focusing on for quite a few years now but then they already have a preconceived notion about crypto and they are already acting like they know everything about crypto and just overall remains uninterested, wouldn’t you be less motivated to teach them about crypto?

at that point, i’d know that this person is not open minded and doesn’t want to actually learn something new so honestly i should just stop at that point and not teach them about crypto what about you? will you keep teaching this kind of person?

I will be less motivated as you’ve said because it’ll be very hard to explain for that person and they easily agree to your words and show interest in cryptocurrency. Another thing that may happen in such case is maybe if the person that explained the concept of it to them didn’t do well to make them understand what it’s all about, just by my explanation he’ll show more interest and will want to hear more to get a chance again to witness and see for themselves what you’re telling them about cryptocurrency.

It is better you don’t persuade such person, if they wish to join, let them join because persuading them will only cause more harm if they are still not acquainted with the basis, they will still fall victims of what they’re trying to run away from in the first instance. If that happens to me, I will try to put them through again but not in such a way that I’m persuading them to actually join it not at their own will.

Well for me I will just stop teaching the person, because, I will just assume that he or she already have the knowledge of what I am trying to teach.
Open-minded is one of the characters that a learner must have without this he or she cannot learn something new.

I follow a policy that I'm not going to teach/help anyone until they asked for it. It's a waste of time and effort thinking you could invite people who were never interested in the first place. You might even end up convincing them to stay away from crypto.

Pretending to know everything and than still don't accepting the reality can cost alot and if your friends are doing it, then leave them be, because sooner or later they will realize their mistake when they will see you making fortune they will regret.

But if you really care for them than you can teach them but if that person is really not open for some lectures its means they are doing okay with what is ongoing in their life so leave them be and focus on yourself.

It depends what you’re trying to do - convert or connect. If your intention is to “teach” someone who’s already signaling intellectual closure, then yeah, it’s a waste of time for both of you. You’re not offering value; you’re colliding worldviews. At that point, continuing isn’t education. It’s ego management

Do people actually want to learn new things, or do they just want confirmation that their worldview is already right? Most don’t reject crypto for technical reasons; they reject it because it challenges their mental models of value, trust, and authority. They’re reacting to the mythos around it, not the protocol

Money itself is a shared fiction. We believe in fiat, stocks, or BTC only because others do. What kind of returns you’re expecting from this “conversation investment”? If the ROI is low, you move on.  And evangelism isn't scalable. It burns energy. Curiosity is self-generated. If someone’s closed off, let them sit with their version of certainty. There are millions who are curious and don’t know where to start. They’re worth your time

You’re not obliged to teach. Teaching is an act of consent on both sides. When that’s not mutual, you’re just shadowboxing against someone else’s bias

I actually spend my free time working on cryptocurrency in addition to my job. I save some money outside my salary. So that I can earn money by investing in the cryptocurrency market. This way, I have a lot of money outside my job. Then I consider myself lucky. Because I have gained an idea about cryptocurrency and the market myself. This way, I don't have to ask anyone for anything.

Saving money in crypto doesn't just give you extra profits like magic as most of the actual coin you would want to invest on would require long term run on the market and even that it's under probability if the market is gonna go up or actually reduce and if the market reduces then you would be on the losing end with your investment.

But since it's money outside your salary then you can actually risk that money on any particular coin of your choice but there is still the matter of waiting because you don't just get returns overnight.

I don't think I need to make magical extra profits by saving money in crypto. Because I save some money every month outside my salary. If I have this money, it can be spent. So I decided to invest it for the long term and keep it in a bank. It seems safer to me than a bank. Although I am a little cautious when the market goes up and down. I have chosen Bitcoin in my investment journey. I hope that my future will be bright from Bitcoin.

Yep, and I guess that's also the reason why I'm not teaching anybody about crypto.

Aside from the fact that most of the information can be accessed online, this is also one of the reasons. This is why when there's somebody that's asking me with regards to cryptocurrency, I only say a bit of information, and I would always say that they need to do some research online if they need to learn more about it. In this way, they will be forced to do it themselves especially if they really want to learn.

When to stop? If you feel that they know everything already, stop. If you feel that they're better than you, stop, and start learning even more. If you feel that they don't need your help anymore, stop.

i guess we can guide them a bit but the thing is people sometimes can get so entitled and dependable once you help them a bit they start asking for more then if you stop helping them they are gonna continue asking for more and could even complain about us not helping and can find ways to blame us if they mess up some people can be that manipulative

We are that helping other people just because we do wanted to share up the opportunity specially into our known friends or even our lived ones and thats normal on having that sharing information. The only issue on here is that there are those individuals who do want spoon feeding even if they can be able to easily made out some on the internet or different resources. There are those people who are really that heavily relying into others on which they can do it for themselves. There are times or moments that you do become optimistic on things on which you dont even know on how to deal up with things accordingly. There are those times or moment that you do made out some realizations but you do able to adjust accordingly. It will be basing up on the actions that you are taking into.

There are really such types of people in this era, actually. Well, if that's what the person you taught showed, then it's simple, let's let them do what they want. We don't have any obligations to other people for that matter actually.

I know someone who is also asking about crypto and I just gave him a platform that he can study and it's a forum and I just said that if he's really interested, he can just create an account here and then he can read and ask questions. That's all I said and he's up to his life whether he learns or not.

Right, just go on spend your energy onto something else, it's very hard to convince someone that is not interested on what you are saying, even if you think that it will benefit from it. We have seen this all throughout that if a man is not interested, you can changed that. And so be it, crypto is not for everyone I guess. There are people though that might be seeing the opportunity in front of them, but chooses to ignore it.
There is no problem with giving someone time, trying to explain things related to crypto but if you realise they are not interested then what is the point of wasting your time? Sometimes it does not work, you can explain things to people in great detail with patience but they cannot understand it.

you are right some people even don’t bother to try i had a friend that asked me what could be a possible side gig and i asked him if he knew of crypto and he immediately said some misinformation and i lost the energy right then and there to even correct him
If their behaviour made you lose energy then at least you can be proud of yourself because you tried to help. In the end, it is possible in the future they will find their own way to crypto by learning via websites and from other people.

If someone asks me about cryptocurrency then I will tell them about crypto as I know it, If the person is serious there will be no debate later. But if the person starts to argue and argue with me about crypto then I will stop and no longer need to explain crypto to him.
Some people like to introduce their friends to crypto in the wrong way, and that is why they leave room for arguments and debates. If you tell someone about BTC's decentralized nature, it catches their attention and then you can send them articles to learn more about it themselves. However, if you begin to tell them how much money they can make, you are getting it wrong.
You are right, and so far I have never told anyone that making money in cryptocurrency is easy and simple. We must introduce new people to cryptocurrency, namely the basics of cryptocurrency, such as its decentralized nature and very volatile price changes. Yes, the important thing is that we don't just tell stories that are made up, say it as it is, it will be easier for lay people to understand.

I will stop teaching them and providing information about crypto, it is difficult to unite thoughts if they are not in line, why do we bother inviting and teaching them what crypto is if they don't want it, but I will have more respect for people who come and really want to learn crypto, I will spend the same time learning with them

I can understand they are only there for the money to profit but at least give some time to learn even just about Bitcoin and blockchain. The rest of the things like trading can be learn along the way when he sells what he invested.

Looking at the chart and the market on the exchanges is something else to learn also. Its enough to burden yourself when the guy isn't even there to learn.

The exception is that when my wife was trying to learn. She wasn't interested until I send her some BTC and make her trade on the p2p. I have to make her understand over and over.

Those who stay in the grind and are truly passionate about the subject in question will go further, beyond what is currently presented to them. Such people are scarce, but they are there. There is a lot to learn and keep pushing forward, even though sometimes, it seems that it's hard enough or shouldn't be done.
