Since the adoption of Bitcoin (Decentralized Finance) by big companies round the world, it is noticed that these companies has been purchasing more and more Bitcoin to increase their Holdings and stay at the top.

One of the most popular is Microstrategy (Michael Saylor) who have a strong belief on this asset, undermining the market price of this asset he acquires more to boost his holdings. We also see the likes of BlackRock, Metaplanet, GameStop etc who also have a positive stand on this asset.

Also, countries like El Salvador and practically the U.S. also believe on this asset. El Salvador has been purchasing since 2021 to increase its holdings and is currently standing as the first country to legalize Bitcoin globally.

Not forgetting the creator of Bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto, who do you think has the highest BTC holdings presently?

In my research (and my research can be wrong!), it is definitely Satoshi Nakamoto (assuming he was an individual and not a group of people) currently holding the most BTC with 1.1 million under his name though sadly this man can be so hard to find and so most probably his BTC will stay locked forever like a big gift to the community supporting Bitcoin. Next is Strategy (formerly known as Microstrategy) with at least 470,000+ BTC (though this may not be the updated figures due to latest purchases). All other entities usually mentioned on the news and discussion boards also got sizable holdings. Sadly am a very good exemption to the rule since I just own some tidbits of satoshis under my name. How I wish that there is an effective time machine so that I can go back to May 2010 when a pizza can be worth 10,000 BTC...am sure I can bring 100 pizzas and sell to Laszlo Hanyecz.

I was reading a post some days ago that Michael Saylor will burn his keys at the time of death, and his holdings are also massive, and I wonder at that time if all his holdings will be locked after his death, haha. What do you think? Is this a good step? Like his holding supply will be locked.

Other than that, are you talking about the SilkRoad seized amount? As far as I remember that occasion, the seized amount was also huge, which was seized by the US government. I remember it because I shared that news a long time ago in my community on BitcoinTalk. But I did not have any idea that amount was bought by the person whose name is "Drake" according to you.

I think we need to differentiate between companies and institutional investors who invest exclusively in Bitcoin, such as Microstrategy, or through securities like BlackRock, and companies that purchase Bitcoin with a percentage of their profits as a long-term investment or to hedge against inflation, such as Tesla.


The former is primarily based on Bitcoin, while the latter is more important because it serves as a measure of Bitcoin adoption.

If i may go by what i thought, i will first mention Satoshi, Microstrategy, El-Salvador and any other giant whales or investors, but i may not say much about US because they are only a holder of what does not belong to them, they are not bitcoin investor for now, they are also holding some reasonable amount of assets in crypto, knowing who the highest bitcoin holder is does not make any change or neither does it put something in addition to our personal holdings, they can only serve as a motivation that we can also invest and hold on something.

Just like most people here would also I would always pick satoshi nakamoto as the one with the highest because aside from the fact that he disappeared when it was worth almost nothing, he mined a lot too and also he left without anyone being able to exactly tell how much he mined.

I can still remember about me when I was reading a couple of article concerning mining and how much satoshi mined, it was said he stored almost every newly mined coins in a new wallet.

If it's not a person then that's probably US or a US company. Before, I think it was Bulgaria that has got it when they have the most Bitcoin holdings and I think many of those were also seized due to the arrest of the owners of it because they came from the illegal market and they were confiscated by the Bulgarian authorities. But for an individual, I have no idea who would that be, maybe Satoshi as it's assumed he's got 1M supply.

In any case though, it might be better to shift our mindset from this. They have a lot of Bitcoin's already, so it might be better for us to at least target 1 Bitcoin in our lifetime, IMHO.

We can all look at the data, but we should understand that supply is dwindling and so with that we should accumulate as much as we can and not try to compete with this whales.

That would ruin the trust for BTC for sure. That's why it's so precious to see the persona of Satoshi unknown even today.

I don't really know much about the Bulgarian stand on crypto and I don't come across news relating Bulgaria as a nation that is for crypto.
I may be wrong, but if a country that is against crypto seize this asset from individuals then it wouldn't be called holdings.

Bitcoin is one of the best profitable crypto in cryptocurrency world. So we know that bitcoins popularity is increasing gradually in the worldwide. So if anyone can understand about this crypto currency benefit, i believe that they want to invest bitcoin for earn best profit. We obviously know that Micheal Saylor is one of the best bitcoin owner in cryptocurrency world. I am also believe that taken step of investment in bitcoin is correct decision for Micheal Saylor. America and China has the highest holdings if I am not wrong when it comes to countries with possession of Bitcoin though those coins were consfiscated from illegal activities like the Silk Road but when it comes to companies I think Microstrategy since they are vocal about their investments since Michael Saylor was behind all that.
