Do you think Ethereum can hit $12000 by 2030 ?

As we all know the cryptocurrency space is also known as an open space for prediction based on individual analysis. I was having a discussion with a friend about the possibility of ETH hitting above the $10k mark by 2030, he said it has a low chance of that. It could be worth 12k, it could be worth even more in 2030, but it's an extremely difficult type of prediction

What makes this prediction difficult, even if you analyze everything, is that one day or one event can change EVERYTHING and any prediction can fail
Things are moving too fast with the crypto market and in 5 years' time I still can't imagine what the coins will be like

An example is looking at the coins from the past cycle that were successful and today aren't even in the top 50 marketcap

However, I recognize that among all the altcoins, ETH is the one that has the best chance of remaining relevant, along with Solana, in a few years' time.

I don't think it could be possible after 5 years that's too much price for ETH with unlimited supply I believe we can maybe see the price around $1200, not $12,000.
Look at the historical chart of ETH no ATH it didn't reach the last ATH.
There's a big problem with Ethereum after they switch from POW to POS. Another thing is, even if they switch to POS, the fee issue every BTC block halving has never been solved.
I don't even heard any good news yet, but I heard some rumors about the layer 2 by Vitalik. He is going to upgrade ETH, I guess for privacy purposes.
There might be a slight spike after this but I don't know if it's going to help to achieve $12000 after 5 years.

I'm not also sure how it would go that high. I have high hopes for ETH back then keeping my tokens for awhile until it dive to $100 from $1000, bear market is the harshest time for crypto.

I wouldn't expect ETH price to go that high anymore because of the POS. If it would than I'd be happy to sell and I guess the rest of the ERC tokens will also shoot high?

Based on the current trends, the prognosis of the high Ethereum price in 2030 valid enough, but it requires several presuppositions. At the moment, Ethereum is progressing, and the usage of blockchain technology is expanding not only on an individual level, as well as corporate and institutional. However, the crypto market is rather unpredictable and sensitive, so fluctuations in the price of such assets as ETH may be an impact due to regulation, competitors in the market, techniques that we have not even considered yet. Although such a figure is not impossible, this market has to be remembered for its unpredictable nature. Yes, it is possible to achieve that if Ethereum is going to develop new features and is being used more extensively, though this may not be going to be easy.

Yes because Ethereum is sort of copying the Bitcoin price's rainbow chart but with a phase shift.

Since ETH was started in 2014, and Bitcoin in 2009, that means ETH is running 5 years behind.

So now it is basically like Bitcoin year 2020 for Ethereum. Remember COVID dumps and the all-time low? That's very similar to the price now.

At the end of next year we probably witness a strong ETH rebound followed by a green wave that takes it to say $6k, and it would not be unreasonable based on this model to predict that ETH could be like $18k in 2030.

We had an ETH ATH of 1.4K USD in the 2017 season, then it surged by 242% to 4.8K USD in 2021. I'm really hoping the ETH price can jump 150% to 7.2K USD in 2025 and then another 100% to 14.4K USD in 2029! Even if the ETH price grows more slowly, 12K USD is totally achievable before 2030.

However, this is just one optimistic scenario. ETH could absolutely see even stronger price increases if it gets widely used in tokenization. On the flip side, if ETH keeps facing the same issues it has now, it could become a failed project and be replaced by better projects like Sol and Ada. In that case, the ETH price might increase much slower or might not even reach a new ATH in the coming seasons.

Agree sir, and don't forget in fundamental aspec of ethereum it is the biggest in number of tvl (total value locked) be compared with other blockchain, real users and real revenue since couple years ago. More than it there are many communities are like layer 2 eth. In my oppinion the price will follow the fundamental aspec of ethereum in coming future because we are still early in mass addoption blockchain of ethereum.

No I think it is not designed to do that and that asking if it can is failing to understand it is now an unregulated bond product that has some utility.

Solana at 145  are pretty much equal to it.

ETH at 1702 all serve the same purpose.

It was very easy for Ethereum to surpass this price. However, since the Ethereum Foundation converted it into a Mintable coin and they started minting ETH as they wish, the price of ETH has been slowly decreasing. So I am a little worried about the future of ETH. Of course, ETH can do very well as the top 2 coin, but I can't say how many years it will take to reach this price. But it wouldn't be surprising if it happens in five years.

It was very easy for Ethereum to surpass this price. There was a time someone was complaining why Vitalik was gifting most of his ethereum even though some people claim to be gifting it to charitable Organization and ever since then, Ethereum price has been on a decline grown ever since then and this price is just a bad prediction that we may not see unless they are ready to work on their maximum supply.

One bad PR ethereum price doesn't know is that as long as the price has never tick a new all time high before, even other altcoins will suffer this bad growth. Many people will not believe in altcoins like they used to do.

It did not rally much 1790 is simply not close to its 2021 ATH of 4900 or so.

I simply see no reason for it to go up a lot.

It is structured like a bond or stock to yield a dividend and that is what it will do.

remember 30% of the coins were premised for 25 cents a coin.

so if you grabbed 10,000 coins way back then you paid 2500.

they pay around 4 to 6 percent staked so 10,000 gives you about 500 coins a year.

or 900,000 a year and you never touch the stake.

the early guys do not care if it goes to 3000 or 4000. No less 12000

they are making 900,000 a year for a 2500 investment.

Hmm, no one can predict exactly. But if for example this ATH Ethereum can really reach $7000, then there is a possibility that in the next bullish era, or in the next altcoin season, the ATH price of Ethereum can reach above $ 10000. However, there is no guarantee. The 4-year cycle is sometimes still quite volatile. Whether in 2030 the era will still be at its peak bullish or has started to be bearish too. But whatever, it's better to just prepare yourself, by accumulating ETH holding. because after all, ETH is the top worth altcoin to hold.
