That's a huge prediction for the next cycle itself. So it's very hard to see where it's going. But if you look at the current price movement, I do not think that it will get to $12k in the future. It even had a hard time even going to it's previous bull run of around $4k this cycle. As compare to Bitcoin wherein it has $109k already under it's belt. I know that there are a lot of Ethereum holders, but perhaps they have lost a lot of investors this cycle because of the obvious reasons about their consensus mechanism of today.

I hate to say this but it looks like they are toast already in this cycle. At least getting to their previous ATH might be a difficult task to do with ETH investors.

They have will to break a lot of mental barriers, like $2,000 to $4,000 to even get close to their previous ATH. So that will be very hard to do as the sentiments are bearish for now.

That is not prediction but a joke, a number mentioned randomly. Why $12k only but not one million? Ethereum find it hard to update ATH when everyone else did it, and someone think that in 5 years Ethereum would make nearly x3 of unreachable ATH. If it is not a joke, then author of article is a fat troll. If someone could take a look on an article, they would not find any reason for such growth except increase in number of transactions. Even if transaction in Ethereum isnt as expensive as it used to be, community have already switched to more cheaper and faster blockchains. They also think that increase in reward for stacking would lure users into Ethereum and it will also influence on price growth. I dont think that users are happy with Ethereum at all, as blockchain becomes more and more centralized.

It seems like the crypto market is getting better, mate. So we don't need to doubt the future of the koij coin. For now, we should focus on this year's cycle, then start thinking about buying next year during the bearish season.
Q2-3 we will probably see bitcoin hit ATH again and then altcoin season will come.

Now that they are like a bond or a stock with a dividend the price growth is much less.

Or not at all. If you buy a t-bill,paying 4% you do not expect the 10,000 dollar note  turning into 20,000. You expect it to value and pay interest.

Eth is primarily that type of instrument.   Which is fine for og developers that stacked 1000 coins that cost mm them $250 dollars. They now get 4-6% or 40 to 60 coins a year.

That is 65 to 100k a year for a $250 investment.

They locked that in and you are chasing a dream that the coin grows to 10k

We may think that Ethereum was struggling to rise because don't hear any hype to it but look it's still next to Bitcoin. Ethereum is a great coin, imagine there is no hype and people think that the attractiveness of Ethereum is going down but still manage to be number 2, how much more if the hype was in Ethereum's turn? Probably, the $12k price would possibly hit if that happens.
