In terms of UI/UX altcoinstalk will look a lot better because it runs on SMF 2017 version while bitcoin use old SMF.

I like Bitcointalk's design personally. But, I do like animated signatures here, when same idea was pitched on bitcointalk, users said, it may look ugly but I kinda like them how they look here.
i also like the design at the top of the home page as well as the chat box i do not participate on it many times but it is still nice to see members talking on there and it is easier to see updates in the home page bitcointalk feels a lot more serious in terms of design

There is no need to trying to compare the two forums; there are things to learn from both forums as they are both unique in their own way.

Bitcointalk has better content, experienced users. Plus, Bitcointalk was created by Satoshi himself and that forum has rich history, there is no comparison between the two.

True but most people value the two with their own perspective or reason behind their choices.
And its always good to be a member of the two forums for more better understanding in learning more about crypto as the two point out their way of teaching and learning too.
But it always will be the individuals choice to make, on which they are more comfortable with.

These are two different forums, and there would surely be differences, there is really no need comparing the two of them. Bitcointalk surely has more traffic than this forum, but the two forums have good users and there is a lot of knowledge to be acquired in the both of them.

Mixers ban on bitcointalk turned out good for this forum. It brought mixers to promote themselves here and that of course brought users here as well.

On point, that is why they say every disappointment is always a blessing, if not for this that happen in bitcointalk, people won't be having much time in this forum, which will make most people not to be serious with it but now, people are more serious and careful, for their account not to be ban and this has also be helpful to this forum as well.

not sure exactly where to post this but i’ll just put it here!

i am pretty sure everyone involved in cryptocurrency knows about bitcointalk and a lot of us here have also visited the other forum i am curious if anyone’s ever noticed a significant difference and which ones you like better from the other forum vs altcoinstalk and vice versa?

could help us discuss how to improve and see where our strengths lie
For sure most of us on here came from Bitcointalk or we do able to know that place first before Altcoinstalk. When it comes to differences then there are tons on which you can be able to differentiate in between forums.

1. Information relevance
2. Forum features UI/UX
3. Traffic
etc.....

In overall it wont be that much of an issue on which you do hang out or make yourself that go along as long you do able to find yourself
having that kind of benefit when it comes on gaining up information and giving out new learnings then this what matter the most.

I think the biggest issue I have on this forum is the occasional errors, such as the "last 25 seconds IP post". Other than that, my experience is quite similar. I'm fine with UI as long as the UX is good. For example, even if the quick reply feature is quite basic, I can work with that as long as previewing the post or posting my reply doesn't lead me to the homepage or somewhere else. Adding more quick-access features would be great though, because someone might find remembering bbcode tags difficult. I guess the preview is there for that purpose, but it would be cool to see a toggle right on the quick reply box.

I think the biggest issue I have on this forum is the occasional errors, such as the "last 25 seconds IP post".

Well, if that's the biggest issue then I think forum is doing well. It's an error but not that of a big deal, closing tab (in which you are getting error) and re-opening same thread in new tab and then posting sorts it out.
