There's nothing new in this, one account per user is enough and all additional accounts should be declared, it is known on this forum for ages.

Sometimes someone needs to create an additional account to represent some project for instance, that's okay. But creating several new accounts to participate in paid campaign is not what allowed on the forum.

Mr. Jack created a Bitcoin mixer project called BitMixer.

Mr. Jack created an altcoinstalks account with the username "JackBitMixer". But Mr. Jack also needed an altcoinstalks account to test the main post, promotion account, or account for collaboration with other projects etc.
Mr. Jack took the initiative to create a second account with the username "JackBitMixer2" and the third with the username "JackBitMixer3".

I don't know if this is just happening to me (I don't think so), but since I use Tor exclusively on this forum, I sometimes get a message saying that I can't post because someone did it from my IP address within 25 seconds, which really doesn't make sense considering that it's often my first post on the forum that day.

There have been some discussions about it in the past, but I don't know what the final conclusion is. I know that this error occurs from time to time, but it's not something you can't live with.

I assure you it's not because you're using Tor. It's a forum issue, one that other users have already reported, and it also affects other users who use their own IP addresses.

Users can declare their alt accounts from the link that Jokers has provided. It couldn't be easier.

It cannot be forced, since the system, like any system, is not perfect.

This is absolutely unnecessary. Can you clarify whether Mr. Jack is representing different companies or brands, or just one?

It seems (if I’m correct) that you are saying he represents only a mixer. In that case, having three accounts for one project is ridiculous, it doesn't matter whether you need a secondary account to test out other stuff, handle promotional or collaborations!

But if he were representing different companies, such as Apple and Orange, then there could be an exception, I guess! But this is very rare for to happen, personally I haven't seen a situation like this before!

The system is not perfect and I think the admin is over stepping it too. I see no reason why multi accounting shouldn't be allowed as long as they're not cheating or scamming with it.  I'm getting a lot of messages, the forum is becoming uncomfortable for her users lately.

The tradition (or rich history as I'd describe it) has been multi-accounts cheating bounty campaigners and abusing karma, not much else. Not reporting cheaters or anything like that.

To correct you, we've always asked users to declare their multi-accounts. This is nothing new, per link provided previously.

They are allowed, for those who intend to you it properly. I have an alt account - dragonvslinux - and I use it correctly by having the duplicate profile badge, as required by rules of the forum that have existed for a long-time already. I've even done signature campaigns with it, because I did so transparently and with accountability as an alt. You are welcome to have multi-accounts, just stick to the rules, it's simple.

If you don't want a red dot or clone badge, don't have a mutli-account

The problem with reporting cheaters on the forum you mention is that scam is not moderated there at all, so everything is based on public investigations of regular users. Unlike that anyone can report everything just using a Report to moderator link under the post. If you understand that forum staff can detect your multiple accounts, why not to report from the main account? No real reason.

As for public declarations: no, no one forces anyone to declare alt accounts in public. You can do it privately and only admin and the President will know, even GMs will not, all will just see some account with a corresponding badge, no one will know whose this account is.

And about saying something controversial: altcoinstalks is a friendly forum. If you think that what you say leads to misunderstanding and aggression, better not to say that, IMO.

So no, I see no reasons to allow multiple accounts. Moreover, all multiple accounts found recently were used for shilling, scamming, spamming or participating in paid campaigns of different sort, no single caught account was used to report bad actors or just to say something controversial.
