For users with a red dot

They are allowed, for those who intend to you it properly. I have an alt account - dragonvslinux - and I use it correctly by having the duplicate profile badge, as required by rules of the forum that have existed for a long-time already. I've even done signature campaigns with it, because I did so transparently and with accountability as an alt. You are welcome to have multi-accounts, just stick to the rules, it's simple.

If you don't want a red dot or clone badge, don't have a mutli-account

I've fought against multi accounting and cheaters on BTT for many years and I'm known well for that- I've been on halt for the past 3 years though. There's a reason why on BTT we're not advised to rely on IP addresses to link accounts and I will explain the reason why;

Someone I introduced to this forum was red dotted a few weeks ago. I asked if he had any other accounts other the one I knew, and he said no, but he introduced a friend to the forum and created an account with his own phone, both of which were marked Alts.  This is two completely different profiles, with two different writing formats; his other colleague was still trying to grow his account and has not cheated or joined a signature campaign yet.  To save his own account, he is now forced to forfeit his colleague's account and pay $5, which means one less legitimate forum member.

I can vouch for him that his telling the truth and anyone looking at both accounts could tell too, but what about those in the same situation and can't even speak up?

The problem with reporting cheaters on the forum you mention is that scam is not moderated there at all, so everything is based on public investigations of regular users. Unlike that anyone can report everything just using a Report to moderator link under the post. If you understand that forum staff can detect your multiple accounts, why not to report from the main account? No real reason.

Linking accounts via IP addresses are not enough prove; If I decided to open an accounts for my siblings without knowing how the rules works here, how am I going to convince the admin that those are accounts are operated by different humans ?

Ideal, an honourable appeal that deserves attention from the court. While I don't know the specifics or whether there is additional evidence that will be provided here from prosecutors, if mistakes were made by admin/president I'm confident they will be rectified, likely without the need for involvement from Judges.

In response to this very issue posted in the forums court, which was my response before deleting it there as adviced..

Hmmm, I will reserve my concluding judgement and wait to see what other users, as well as judges would say, but something I did like to also comment on is the fact that  majority of us are indeed guilty of using our phone or any other type of device to open an account for someone else on any platform (may not have to be on this forum)..

I remember I have used my device to open a btt account for two of my friends in the past and after I was done with the account set up, I handed their login password and other important details to them respectively speaking, unfortunately, both of those users could coup with the forum and are no longer active..

Same goes with this forum as well, I have introduced 4 different persons to this forum and I remember using my device to open the account of one or two of them, and maybe my saving grace today is that all of those accounts are not active today, else I would have been tagged too as an Alt.

The judges should critically look into this matter, for most persons here in this part of Africa, creating account for referrals is a common practice, and I didn't also know that this was a wrong thing to do here on this forum..

I just did - the admin and President are usually responsive, let's see. Just wondering why there are no other red dot related appeals in the court except the one I sent. Hope it can be sorted out soon.

Why are users whose alt(s) are not active or ever cheated signature campaign getting red dot and forced to pay $5 and declare their alt in public?

The system is not perfect and I think the admin is over stepping it too. I see no reason why multi accounting shouldn't be allowed as long as they're not cheating or scamming with it.  I'm getting a lot of messages, the forum is becoming uncomfortable for her users lately.

Users are not required to declare multiple accounts, but if they are found to be violating forum rules by using multiple accounts or participating in signature campaigns, for example, they will receive a red dot for the reasons mentioned above. You might be wondering, if they're not required to declare their accounts, why do they receive a red dot? It's simply to ensure that all users have the same opportunities. The $5 is a measure by the administrator to "forget" broken rules and help users learn their lessons.

$5 for removing some sanctions is a real gift. On other sites, they'd be banned without explanation or a second chance. Here we believe in second chances, but we don't like being taken for idiots, and as I said in the OP, everything has a limit, my patience too.

The administrator does what he thinks is best for the forum, no more, no less. I can assure you that the rules of this forum are incredibly simple compared to the rules of other (non-cryptocurrency related) forums.

Ignorance of the laws does not exempt one from complying with them. Ignorance of a law (a forum rule in this case) is no excuse, as these rules have been written on the forum for many years, so it is the user's obligation to know them.

I've read the thread you started on the forum court. I'll give my opinion there in a few hours, as that's all I can do.
