What are your regrets in this crypto space?

Hello everyone, so quickly, what are those areas or aspects you think you should have done things differently or better if you were to start back from the beginning in this crypto space?
There are newbies that will love to learn

I think almost everyone here can relate to my answer, that the biggest regret is not having bought BTC when it was cheaper hehehe, preferably in 2013, 2014, 2015...

Another regret I have is that 1 or 2 years ago I didn't spend more time studying about airdrops and new projects, because a lot of people have managed to make a lot of money from this
It's usually at the moment of a downturn that you have to work harder to reap the rewards afterwards

Well, I'll list some regrets and/or things I would do differently as I remember them...

1 - Since my teenage years, around 2013-14, I had heard about Bitcoin, I even researched it, but back then I thought it was a type of money that only worked on the deep web, although I thought the idea was really cool, due to my other interests,and I ended up ignoring Bitcoin... I only truly understood it by 2015... but at that time I didn't have money to buy it... If I could go back in time (although this would be against the laws of physics, probably generating another version of myself when I went back in time), I'd definitely tell my past self to buy bitcoins or mine and do everything I could to buy even 10 units...

2 - I would go deeper and invest part of the funds (about 30%) in ETH around 2015 and hold it for a long time.

3 - If I were starting to get into this market today, I'd join discussion forums like this one, since the information tends to be as impartial as possible. I wouldn't listen so much to influencers who convince you to invest in shitcoins (like OM) and then only you would get screwed.

4 - I'd adopt my current strategy sooner. Instead of making a single purchase all at once, I'd slip my payment into 3 or 4 parts, so that throughout the week, I can make periodic purchases practicing DCA. I would never have made the mistake of stopping visiting the bitcointalk forum, where many opportunities arise for those who dedicate themselves.

5 - In the beginning, I would talk a lot about Bitcoin to people, but most of the time, I was considered crazy. Today, I talk very little or almost nothing, but unfortunately, people who already know about it keep talking about it. I'd never say that I know about Bitcoin or that I invest in it, as this could pose a threat in the future or people would mock you in the hope that you would lose everything in a bear market.

Ohh my friend, this means that airdrops are being profitable for you... I'm happy, someday I should set aside a few hours to research this, although it's difficult to filter and retain what's good, due to the flood of content on the internet.

Missed to invest in 2014, that's the biggest regret for me but what is supposed to happen will happen and I am just happy that I understand that later like a couple of years after.

Sometimes I get tempted about the new coins that I can make better profits if I convert my BTC and take thr gamble but inner conservative me doesn't let that happen.

Just like some have already said, my greatest regrets is not buying bitcoin at the early stages. I think back then I knew what it was but don't trust any thing online so I literally just focus on better things and tried not ruining my plans for the future. Until now, I wish I could have a time machine and go back to buy some BTC when it was just $1... I guess so many people missed that opportunity or some knew of it's existence but threw away the opportunity...

My biggest regret is when I ignored security too much and felt that the computer I use every day for work and business purposes was not completely safe... I have been hacked three times on different devices, and this clearly made me have to increase my security layer in storing crypto assets...

A person will realize that their system is not safe when they find themselves a victim of hacking... until now there are a total of three wallets that I have left because some hackers managed to get the private key... I ignored security too much and this had a huge impact on the assets that I store in non-custodial crypto wallets...

I do not see this as a regret but as an advice. Newbie should be careful of crypto trading, most especially future trading. Just as they will prefer to use 1% of their income on gambling so should it be in future trading because they will always lose as a beginner and some traders still learn more about trading but continue to lose.

Learn how to secure your coins by using open source, well-reviewed software, and preferably using a hardware wallet or an airgapped wallet.
After that, invest in Bitcoin, learn when to buy and when to sell, and invest in the top 10 altcoins after six months of learning how to trade.
Over time, you can learn to trade and invest in low-cap tokens.

Years in this industry yet I am not yet rich and it is all because of the mistakes, bad moves, hasty decisions and being victims of different scams and even phishing in the past. One, had I got a crystal ball, I should have sold everything I owned just to buy Bitcoin when it was just $500 (the rate when I first entered this space). I should have not used my Bitcoin for scam programs that later on just give me headaches and empathy wallets instead I should have just HODL my Bitcoin and never be enticed by other coins and tokens that later on turned to be dead. I am sure I am not alone with this story. A sad story. And now I am looking for a time machine so I can travel to the past and kick myself so I can restrained not to commit so many wrongs.

One of the mistakes I did back when I was new was spreading my funds too thinly across different tokens that were trending or popping at the time. Although it resulted into a net positive, I wasn't able to maximize the profit. What I would say is to not rush in buying tokens buzzing on social media. Most of the time, it's already too late when it's posted on X or TG. You'll be one of the late buyers before it crashes.

When I had a lot of Bitcoin and sold it at such a low price, I think it was because I wasn’t looking ahead much. However, I learned now and just kept on buying more Bitcoin.

When I learned about BTC in 2017, I didn't have much money to invest either
One of my first BTC purchases was around 20 USD, and back then that was a lot of money for me and I was super worried about losing that money

If I had known that BTC would appreciate so much, I would have sold everything I had hahaha

There is nothing or any moment somebody would have wish to go back on other than Bitcoin because that is the only investment that could change the story of someone if the investment was made very early, so the first area I will loved to go back on is the part when Bitcoin was at $1k or $2k so that all the money I had use for other business and some other things I would  use it all to buy Bitcoin and by now I would have made a lot of money on Bitcoin because if I had $1k equivalent on Bitcoin when the price was the same but now is millions on my currency.

None... or maybe there's one that I don't really regret that much, but whenever I remember that thing, I feel a bit of disappointment and regret.

I've been into crypto since 2017, and I've earned some Bitcoins as well through signature campaign. To cut the story short, ever since 2018 until now, I'm spending my Bitcoins to buy something I need or want. I mean just imagine if those Bitcoins that I got especially in the years 2018 & 2019 are just being kept into a wallet. My life would've changed already. Well, that's not the case, and I won't dwell with it anymore because nothing will happen, and I can't control it anymore. Only the future is the one that I can control.

I'm pretty sure there are some here who had some regrets, and there's nothing wrong with having one as long as you learned from it, and if possible, don't do it again.

I like this, regrets that can be learned from... different from some regrets that other people post here, many regret that they did not hoard a lot of BTC when the price was cheap.... then they think that now they would have been living rich if they had done that a long time ago... but they do not change their mindset, or maybe they are now afraid that BTC will not go up again...

Rather than regretting our decisions in the past, it is better to remember some regrets that we can still fix in the future... we must not repeat the same mistakes, like when we were newbies, where there must have been many mistakes that arose from the decisions we made... that's natural, we still need to learn and must continue to learn to be better in the future.
