Connection timeout

I don't know what happened but here is the summery! A few minutes ago (10-15), I wasn't able to visit the forum through my mobile phone, I was encountered with a timeout error. Currently I am using my laptop to make this post! And I was able to access the site (using VPN as always). After clearing the data I was able to access the site normally. Note that both the device were under the same WIFI network when the issue arose!

Any idea what could have caused it?

You are not only the one person who is facing this error. I have also faced this error back to back few times. But I was wondering that when I just open this  forum on the tor browser it's just smoothly ran and something they replaced their position in generally we saw the loading and loading on tor browser because of the proxys here I am seeing that I can smoothly run this site on the tor browser. And in the chrome I am seeing this kind of error.
Don't know what is actually happening maybe the admin can explain better

Using VPN on your computer but why not also try it with VPN on your phone? Know that clearing data was not the reason you later were able to access the site. The problem is from this forum and it can happen in a way that mobile phone is disabled but desktop is enabled. Try to switch to desktop mode on your phone browser if something like this happened again and I think it would work as long as it worked on your computer.

Or the use of VPN can also solve the issue if your country IP is blocked. It can also be just the mobile connection to the site that is blocked but which VPN can solve.

I saw such an error too, but in very rare cases, probably due to the traffic overload since there's no announcement from admin about maintenance downtime.

This is nothing to do with the devices so switching the browser or network won't solve this, Wait for a few minute then it will resolve on it's own.

I feel the same as the OP with this forum having an inaccessible error for more than 30 minutes.

Usually this often happens on bitcointalk too but not for long, but this time on altcoinstalks for a long time for the connection time to run out.

Does anyone know how long this maintenance versis is?

I was probably afk when this happens and never experienced it. Does the cloudlflare page checking occurs become slowly too? I haven't checked the bot too for what posts were not scraped.

Both of the times it worked! But when it comes to mobile, it doesn't work! I tried 2 browsers, but ended up with the same error. Only after clearing the data, I was able to access the site!

Afaik, it isn't blocked. I have had no problems in the past with or without VPN's. But I always used one anyway. I rarely access the forum from mobile. I'm mostly laptop user. Anyway thanks, the suggestion fixed the issue apparently.

I haven’t witness any of this since have been using this forum and I log in my forum account on several mobile devices cause I do change my phone several times and still haven’t notice any error more over anytime I use the forum I don’t logged in with any vpn or so.
So I guess maybe the problem will be from your sever or maybe country sever or such cause I haven’t intercepted any of this error ever.
 I don’t think the problem is from the forum or any maintenance activity but in my opinion I guess it could be your sever for your mobile phone or even the IP address of your mobile phone. If many have encountered such problems they could have voice out but only few could reply to this thread so I guess it only the few that encounter same problem.
 And also @crypto library also said he encountered same problem and I could see both of you are from same country so I guess maybe it just your country sever that making this issues to pop up so maybe you will stick to making use of your pc for the main time.

I don't quite grasp this issue even though I've encountered it a few times. The simplest way I handle it is by waiting a few minutes for things to return to normal, and this method always works.

The internet isn't as stable as the Earth's orbit around the sun; it constantly has all sorts of problems with servers, transmission lines, and the regulations of different countries regarding websites related to crypto. Besides, when you use a VPN, you have an additional layer of potential issues with the VPN itself, making you suspicious whenever you experience a problem with the forum.

I have witnessed this so many times in Bitcointalk and not here. I had always think that this is a sign of large traffic, that many people are sending signals to the server that it cannot handle at once. But it seems I was wrong, if I were to be correct, it would mean that Altcoinstalks traffic is increasing steadily.
In BTT, the downtime doesn't last up 10 to 15mins . It is longer here and could be as a result of maintenance.

At this case I am also confused. But I think what happened it here when you are using mobile phone maybe the altcointalks forum server really down on that time and when you access via the laptop maybe the server again started running. That's why maybe you saw this difference but in my case I face that issue on my laptop chrome bowers and when opened it up on tor it's running smoothly.

Downtime is something that websites always experience, and it is caused by a number of reasons.

I usually do not worry about this downtime unless it lingers for longer than 30minutes.

I never encountered an error like this lately, though I do think sometimes the web response time is very slow. I'm sure it's not because of my internet because I can access other websites just fine, and I have access to a VPN that works well for me (either Mullvad or Proton for now). The good news is that this only happened for a few minutes or so, and I can access the web just fine. Probably just a hosting issue due to high traffic or something similar.

It seems like your problem is the same as mine.
Sometimes for use from my Smartphone I also can't access the altcoinstalks website but after opening the notebook and accessing the altcoinstalks website I can and it uses the same WiFi.

If I notice, the browser you are using in the screenshot is the original default browser from your smartphone, right?
Because sometimes the default browser from the Smartphone likes to have problems and Please try using another browser such as Opera, Google or Mozilla, I think it will work.
