Do you guys think L2 projects still need to stay completely separate from L1s? Some setups now like the one Init’s trying to build are saying you can merge both into one system without all the usual friction. I get the idea, but I honestly doubt if it’s ever possible to have app-specific chains, multiple VMs, liquidity, and staking all working in one smooth loop without something breaking.

The way they describe it, everything is coordinated shared standards across chains, fast execution, and staked tokens also acting as liquidity. Sounds clean on paper, but real usage always hits different imho. And when you’re dealing with EVMs, MoveVMs, and other environments under one roof, isn’t that just asking for chaos at scale?

just thinking out loud. Would be good to hear from someone who’s actually tried anything on it, or if there are better models out there worth watching.
