They were here in the Philippines not long ago. I wasn't surprised that people actually lined up. The general mindset why is that who cares about privacy concerns from eyeball scanning when Facebook gets their personal data for free? At least they get some money with this

They care the money that they can get more than their personal information. They value the money more compared to their personal information.

TBH, I'm not even surprised that they will target our country because we're a developing country, and depending on how much they will give to these people as long as it's FREE, they will do whatever it takes even sharing their personal information. Well, they don't have any idea on what they're doing and the only thing that's on their mind is to get that FREE money.

i am honestly confused how people can be so open about this are they really just that desperate for money that they fail to realize the implications of this? and i am surprised that this is actually legal it is basically selling your identity for a couple of coins in crypto

by agreeing to this you are basically agreeing to whatever they decide to do with your data they can effectively steal your identity and pin point numerous crimes in your name i do not think we should embrace this kind of project

I am sure this is a game-changing roll-up for World platform which is under the leadership of Sam Altman, giving us the convergence of AI, cryptocurrency, blockchain technology and the component called as "proof of human" and in return we are supposed to be getting something for the data we share with them.

That's rubbish.

If you think about it, your biometric data is worth way more than $50 (or however much 25 WRLD tokens are worth) which you get from scanning your iris.

Now the average company when they get into a deal with some other company to use your personal biometric data, it obviously costs them a lot of money, but it roughly translates to $100-$1000 dollars per individual (1) (2).

So think about it.

You could be easily getting 2x or even 20x the amount of money you get for scanning your iris from Worldcoin, but they are significantly underpaying you. Then they resell your iris data to other companies at the market rate, and make enormous profits!

The users (i.e. you) who want free money get scammed in the process because they could've sold it for a much higher price but they just see the dollar signs without using a calculator and a search engine.

So Worldcoin is actually cheating people.

It was 25 WLD[1], when it's price was about $4 higher. Although looking at their support page[2], it seems they changed how the airdrop works where you can claim up to 150 WLD. But when i write this reply, 1 WLD is only about $1.02.

Oh the reward is really big and yeah it is really convincing too, I did not knew about this reward maybe I confused it with some other rewards. Well, for a person who don't give a shit about giving away their identities they will easily agree to join this airdrop and one more cause that urges most of the people to join this is that, they think our information is already exposed on internet so what's the benefit in not sharing this by ourselves.

Well, 120 WLD even at the current rate seems good for a person living in progressive country, I mean let's say a person have 10 family members, they can easily make more than $1k with this airdrop. +1 for providing the information.
