Can your perspective about memecoins change at any point ?

Personally, I’m not a huge believer in memecons or degen trade but I’ve been noticing memecoins are surging now, i would have said we are in memecoin season but i know memecoin doesn’t have a season.

 Been thinking lately about their potential and all, i do trade them once in a while but I’m thinking if i should start trading them now, because i woke up today to see the price of different coins uptrend. These coins gork, $horni and shortcoin especially caught my attention because they did so well, won’t lie i was pained because i missed out on them. The past few months have been too have been nothing in short of profits for degens. To think i was always against memecoins before i don’t think it’s bad to change one’s mind, right ? If it were you, would you change your mind ?

You are pointing out that they can be easy way for someone to create system where they have much of control especially over how money moves in and out. This ability to control money flow can be good for people who are owner of coin or are in charge and they make quick money but it can be risky for others.

You are right that meme coin world is one where some people can make much money fast and at same time many other people can lose more money just as quickly because of all hype. This fast way of getting rich or going broke is what makes meme coins so risky but also exciting for some. It is market that is driven more by what people are talking about online and what is popular other than by any real value or usefulness.

Memecoins are what bears risk and the same time have huge advantages together, only those who have seen the opportunity in it could quickly grab and utilize it for their own benefits within a short period, we should not join others in making a long term investment on memecoins, because they are mostly expected to run for a short period of time a d within this little period is when we can maximize our own opportunities of making profits and not that we hold on them for long as they easily get dumped.

Prices of SOME meme coins are surging because:
1. There's an interest in it hence, many are buying.
2. There are whales who are just manipulating it through pump-and-dump.

I'm not a huge believer of meme coins as well because most of them doesn't have any use case at all, but over the years, there are some meme coins who are exploring already. SHIB has its own blockchain, FLOKI has its own game, DOGE is nearing to have a Spot ETF already and so on, and so forth. What I'm trying to say is that, while there's a hate around meme coins because of how volatile most are, we can't remove the fact that they're evolving as well, and I'm only pertaining to those top meme coins out there.

Just because there is a certain memecoin that is getting a lot of attention hence its price is surging DOES not mean that it is already so good to invest money in here. I mean the risks of you losing your money is higher here compared to just buying the usual coins proven to be steadily performing and not just a flash-in-the-sky kind of thing. Of course, one can make money in memecoin but you need to choose one that will really make it...and this is where the big problem is as there are so many, many, many memecoins you need to choose. You can be lucky though if you can be in tuned to someone or a group that is good in analyzing which of these many new memecoins will be stars and not be a dead ones six feet below the ground. Anyway, it is your choice just be careful and I am wishing all success you are looking for in memecoin investing.

Totally agree with you. We’ve seen that a lot of meme coins are just hype-driven with some having little utility while some don’t even have at all but honestly i like the fact that we’re starting to see a shift with the older memecoins and the more established ones. Just like you said, FLOKI pushing into gaming now but isn’t SHIB operating on Ethereum ?

DOGE growing as far as potentially having its own ETF is such a huge growth, I couldn’t imagine it would grow this much. At this point it’s now evident that some meme coins are trying to evolve beyond the meme. Of course, the meme space is still very risky and can be manipulated at times, but it's interesting to see how some are actually building something sustainable.

i have not seen any signs that memecoins are surging again but maybe i am not just looking at the right direction? but yeah i have seen memecoins be noisier than now so maybe it might not be as rising as it did last year but yeah might check it out again if you are saying it is surging

if you see enough reason for you to change your mind then why not? it is just that for me i have not seen any signs like i said but we should always be openminded

You are not entirely wrong, memecoin trading is never truly easy. I have been trying my hands on a few promising tokens on BG onchain; some of them have not been explosive but $gork has been giving me the moon vibe for a while.
There's never really a meme season; as long as there is some crazy stuff happening in the world, there must be a memecoin to go with it.
Now it balls down to the question of which does well or rugs degen players
