The forum is not trying to be friendly. The forum is supposed to be very much friendly until it gathers enough traffic before it will become harsh. It is not good to request sensitive information from people in the forum.

I don't agree at all with what you say. No one on this forum is trying to generate traffic and then turn us into oppressive tyrants who ban users without any explanation, to give a very basic example. You've probably seen on several occasions how we try to give more opportunities to users who commit infractions and break forum rules, sometimes even more than necessary, this is an example of what we try to do here, with our time, with our effort.

If this forum had ten times more traffic than it does now, we'd still be doing the same thing, with more effort and more work, but that wouldn't change our vision of where (and how) we're moving forward.

Honestly this is the truth. Basically this forum isn't as strict and attacking as Bitcointalk and frankly speaking I've hardly seen an unjust case of a ban here . In fact the mods here are more flexible and understanding and don't take drastic actions with the snap of a finger.

If it were rational newbies could be banned for being newbies on the other forum by some members if the actually had the power to do so.

As I said in my previous post, nothing will change (negatively or strictly speaking) even if there were thousands of users online here.

Exactly this is why I don't actually fancy picking up on newbies. This is simply because no one would eventually rank up if the system is a 100% against them. Of course I'm aware that some newbies are actually scammers who don't hope to contribute to the forum in any way.

However it's still not enough for higher ranking members to take that as an advantage and generalise all newbies as the same because the are not.
