I would not advice to do it especially if you're a believer of the project, but based on my experience and my observation about those projects that launched through airdrops, most of the time, the price of their tokens dropped significantly as soon as they got listed on an exchange. Significantly doesn't mean "90% in an instant" although it would be a gradual way of price drop.

Just look at these projects and compare it's initial price to where it is right now:
Manta Network, Berachain, DOGS, Hamster Network, LayerZero, EigenLayer, ZkSync, VeniceAI, Celestia, and many more.

Most of the projects that I shared have lower price currently that it's initial price. The only project that comes to my mind where they launched as an airdrop, but it's price is still higher than it's initial price is Hyperliquid only. I've participated on airdrops as well, and I immediately sell them as soon as it gets listed on an exchange. I don't see the benefit of holding it for a long time knowing that most of those that got that tokens for free will just sell it immediately for profit.

Bro this topic just hit the nerve haha or I should say my past, I will tell you just one thing, if you make free money from these airdrops, just book it all, if you think the project have some hope like not by following others but by doing your own analysis, you must sell 60% and hold the other 40% to test your theory in this way you won't be in total loss.

I have done it so many times now that I don't even feel regret I just feel dumb so dumb that I would blindly ask anyone to sell their profits from airdrops ASAP. The possibility of a project to raise in price is way less than the possibility of them getting appreciation. so keep in mind that after project 99%, projects will lose their value.

One thing that every crypto investor should be aware of is that when you are into newly launched tokens, be it airdrops or those you bought but most especially airdropped token. You should not have a long term hold target in mind. That's simply because these tokens are meant to make quick money for it's developers and after launch they all take out what they've profited from their investment of which the market ends up dumping. So you as an airdroper should as we take your profits immediately they are launched.

Most of the airdropped tokens out there in the market are mostly there for the purpose of enriching the pockets of the project’s developers and team, so it’ll be very risky to attempt HODLing unto such token as it might crash at any second. It’s just like you’re keeping or holding on to a time bomb that could explode any moment.
So the best option would be to immediately sell it, and even if you plan to hold on to it, it  should be for a very short term and that would be a very risky game to play.

People want to hold better coins than a coin that doesn't have REAL value.

If I will you decide which coin will you hold? Will it be Bitcoin or some airdrop project out there like let's say Hamster Kombat? Will you want to hold USDT? Or DOGS token. That's the point on why holding airdropped tokens is pretty much not advisable. I already had a bad experience when it comes to holding airdropped tokens when I decided to hold DYM tokens which is basically launched as an airdrop instead of selling it. It went up to as high as 8$, but I didn't sell it. At the end, I made way lower amount.

That's true... But most times a newbie gets to know about it after getting the experience. They say Experience is the best Teacher. And one thing very common as a newbie is greed and people's influence.

Though airdrops these days are no more worth it, but I've learnt my lesson from DOGS... Having gotten a valuable amount in attempt to get more I lost it all. Because the price crashed below the amount of TON required to move it from my TON wallet.
