I am interested in discussing this section because I noticed something odd, I will describe it like this :

- Member with username Speaker https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=profile;u=36511 , did you previously have a Mythical rank?
I noticed Speaker is now ranked Legendary and has around 4,996 posts.

- Member with username BountyDetective     https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=profile;u=9680 , is it true to have more than 5,000 posts?
I noticed he only has about 137 posts.

You must be confused on activity and post counts. The numbers you mentioned are their activity counts.
Speaker have 5066 post count and BountyDetective have 57, where did you saw that +5000?
Speaker has been inactive for years already, where did you saw the user being Mythical too?

Speaker ranked up to Mythical then was demoted when certain sections were deleted and users lost some post count, hence is 4 activity short now. Bounty Detective previously paid for a rank/membergroup to assume Mythical, but that has since expired so has returned to native rank as far as I understand. So not bugs, just anomalies.

Right, I'm confused, this is my weakness, I didn't do a complete research on the difference between Post and Activity.
I now start to understand, when checking Posts, you should check the button in the "Show Post" section, not check the main display of an account because that's just "Activity".

Speaker is ranked 7th and is included in the "Members with 5000 Posts badge" list.

While BountyDetective members are ranked 14th in the "Members with 5000 Posts badge" list.

Isn't it true that when a post reaches 5,000, the member is ranked up to Mythical?

Ah okay, the Speaker post has passed 5130 ,Source --> https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=profile;u=36511;area=showposts;start=5130
But there are posts that are deleted in various parts, so the Activity drops again to 4,996 and automatically the Mythical Rank drops back to Legendary. This makes sense. Thanks

Just check the "Show stat" (yours) to check user's all stat including post count.

Why posts were deleted too not just moved when sections were deleted?

Poor house keeping. I wasn't around at the time to do it, Jokers wasn't GM by then, Freemind/Hair (acting presidents) were busy.

These things happen and these things are dealt with much better these days at least.

I honestly don't have the specifics, only I remember that BD were Mythical for sometime, as had received 5,000 activity, and now they are no longer.

It would have been a private deal between them and admin, as there is no thread advertising that or whatever, but if a user wants to pay to have Mythical rank then anything is possible. Clearly the deal wasn't to remain Mythical if they became inactive, or otherwise would have been a subscription for a set time-frame (maybe 1-2 years). And no it wouldn't have been cheap either.

Hope that clears it up a little. Only admin could provide you with more details at this point, but please don't bother him with theoretecial questions unless you are genuinely interested in purchasing such a rank (which may or may not be available for purchase still). Ideally he'd be implementing mod promotions and new karma requirements for ranks instead of answering your questions, or even reading this topic

Isn't it true that when a post reaches 5,000, the member is ranked up to Mythical?

I'm not sure about the 5,000 round badge, if it counts posts or activity, but it is not the same in general. Ranking up is based on the activity, not on the post number. For instance, I have 9347 posts and just 9224 activity. The difference can be greater or shorter, but only activity determines ranking up.

The thread is not visible to us, I guess it is only limited to you guys well I did heard about this before that now karma will be necassary to rank up so this is implementation now! That's great, and really it was a news to me as well that we could actually buy ranks, but I don't think this offer would be available for anyone.

Because let's say if I buy that rank now, I would be eligible to get more satoshi from my weekly campaign only if the deal is in my favor like if the price won't be high to buy mystical.
