failed memecoins
« on: May 06, 2025, 01:54:50 PM »
how many memecoin projects have you seen the past few years? for every project i see there is always words of promise that this would be the next big thing or that this coin would be the next bitcoin and thus you should not waste any time and go invest in it but just like any other memecoin before that, they fail to be the next big thing they do not usually even become a thing

for examples are dogs and cats memecoins for some reason they were really popular and incredibly hyped but right now i barely hear anything about them it makes me think how many memecoins have failed in the past despite its big promises and whether you see any similarity between these failed memecoins that could possibly be the reason why they failed in the first place

Aside the hype they receives from the advertisement made, there is nothing much to they use in convincing people than this, because they understand the power of influencers in puling traffic to their project and how they can use such as an instrumentation towards achieving their targets.

One thing we have to know about these memecoins is that the one s that will pay may not look like such from the first instance and the ones been over rated to be high yielding and rewarding may turned a disappointment at the end, people are just taking a risk on whether any could be their own luck after investing or not.

countless of them failed but before it, they have already convinced many users trying to ride the pump. even when its just listed in the new exchange, people still are gambling their money thinking they'd be the first to dump when the price increase in a little.

the ones that i have tried are from TON, i was hoping it will go up while TON was hot that time. a few of them are actually profitable and then came the dump. no matter how early you may be in getting into this new memecoins, there is always someone out there being the first.

Essentially, a meme coin is nothing more than a pump and dump scheme, inflated in value by publicity and media hype. Suddenly, inevitably the meme coin collapses leaving investors with worthless assets that have no real value. Since 2024 there has been a proliferation of meme coin projects, most of which were created without a fundamental purpose. They are stealing investors money and frustrating the crypto community. Buyers buy such meme coins with the promise of short term profits, but the results are disappointing. Many meme coin creators use dangerous tactics like rag pools where the community cuts off the currency liquidity and the investor suffers.

So many, it's already uncountable, hmm, in fact I often forget the names because there are so many meme coins that have emerged, even with names that are almost similar. Or derivative names like Baby .... Baby ... Baby ...., which is always promised to be the next Doge, the next Shiba Inu, The next .......
Ah, that's already very widespread and extraordinary.

But look at how many of them can actually go up? Very small and it seems like none, all of them must have dropped in price. However, there are still some that survive, it's just that, the conditions are like that, the market cap is dropping, the price is dropping a lot, and who knows if there is still hope or just waiting to be delisted.

            -    Until now, mate, there are still many who are creating such intense hype in their crypto community, as long as they know that they have something to gain from their communities, they will still take advantage of the opportunity to get the opportunity to raise funds from their investors who trust them.

Then most of the meme coins that come out still end up as failures projects, that's why being vigilant is still what an investor needs to do in this crypto business industry that they belong to.

Some investors get lucky when they buy a relatively unknown meme coin that makes a lot of money when it becomes popular. Moreover, meme coins can be very risky but they have the potential for big uncertain rewards. Is it really a gamble that you will suddenly become rich from meme coin? While some investors have invested heavily in it most are facing losses. The creators of the trump coin profited from trading fees, yet many investors who bought and held it likely suffered losses. Social media is currently the only tool for generating meme coin hype, so everyone should be very careful.

Too many!

Some investors get lucky when they buy a relatively unknown meme coin that makes a lot of money when it becomes popular.

Insiders!
There is no meme coin on its own that you could analyze and say this will become big, you either buy them like lottery tickets and hope one will win or you have access to groups that know some celebrity will pump this or anything other than would trigger a hype and a pump for the short term.
Also, these are not investor-like, more like 1-2 say speculators.

I don't even look at which memecoins are successful, because I don't find any factors to say memecoins are successful. Success based on hype and longevity maybe, but what else?

It's different when we talk about other coins that have a clear long-term plan, of course our benchmark is the success of the project in continuing to grow and so on.
