Having issue accessing the forum with VPN

Long story short, I recently encountered this P2P server problem while accessing the forum. I have been using VPN's for a long time, and while using ProtonVPN (free version), I got this error. I have accessed the forum with this particular VPN before and never had this issue. I only recently noticed it and have no knowledge of this P2P server or traffic.

Is there any way to bypass this without changing the VPN? I don't trust others. Also, I can't buy their premium plan due to financial reasons at this moment, and I can't properly use the forum with the TOR network because my internet speed sucks.

This is VPN restricting you from accessing the site and an attempt to subscribe to their premium plans. If privacy is your concern then simply switch to TOR which is better than VPN. If you still want to experience the sleek and fast UI then use Opera which comes with built-in VPN, not sure about the trust factor though.

@ DYING_S0UL, as far as I can see, this VPN has 5 different servers in the free version, have you tried them all? I did a little research and found some other possible solutions that you can try, I hope some of them will work.

OPTION A:- Disconnect the current Proton VPN server in the Proton VPN application you are using and connect to a different server; then refresh the page you were at. If that other server does not work, try another one till the one that works for you.

OPTION B:- Turn off Permanent/ Kill Switch; Disconnect the currently connected Proton VPN server; Close (or Kill) Proton VPN application/ process. Next, restart your Proton VPN instance and connect to a new server, then refresh the page that resulted in the issue you are experiencing.

OPTION C:– Perform actions on either OPTION A or B, then Close/Kiill the Application (or Process or Browser Tab) that resulted in the issue you are facing. Next, restart Proton VPN (for OPTION B), then connect to a different server (for either option), and lastly start a new instance of the Application (or Process or Browser Tab) that resulted in the current P2P mess.

This can happen sometimes when you are using free version of VPN.
You can try changing your IP address location, but I would suggest switching to some better VPN services.
Mullvad is number one, but it is a bit expensive, and good alternative is NYM VPN, that is decentralized and you can pay with bitcoin, monero and other crypto with discount.

I don't trust ProtonVPN, and most VPN's are probably honeypots.

I never liked Opera for some reason. Regarding TOR, my connection isn't that good, shit provider I guess. Always had trouble connecting.

Why is that? I thought they were good. Which is why I have been using it for quite some times.

I did and all of them were showing the same issue. I guess I'll have to shift from free to premium now. Anyway thanks for the suggestion.

No, not a single thing, free servers from Proton are heavily restricted and not because of Tor but because of p2p file sharing that would clog them instantly.
The thing is, unless you do something really, really...(let's not talk about), I don't see why you would need a second shield on top of TOR for visiting websites like this forum or BTT, gambling websites and exchanges will tag your account instantly and for the things I would not mention here I for certainly woundn't be using my ISP as a starting point but some free McDonalds or whatever wifi available around me.

Anyhow, the only way out of this is either another VPN, stay away from junk!!, or get a premium plan.

With him, it is not the second shield, but the first, considering that he has problems with Tor, which for some reason does not work properly. But even if we take into account that someone uses VPN+Tor (together), if they do something very bad, there is no protection that will allow them to remain anonymous.

Not so long ago, they caught a character who was sending threatening messages to my prime minister, and for that they needed a couple of months and the help of colleagues across the big pond (because he has dual citizenship). They claim he used sophisticated methods to conceal his online identity (whatever that is).

I already explained why, they are the honeypot working with government, or they are the government pretending to offer privacy services.
Other people already exposed a bunch of VPN services and it's easy to find that information if you want.

Yeah, but he already has the VPN, tor is the second one running after you connect through the VPN.
I'm going to stick with my opinion, if you just browse around on normal forums, one VPN is enough, nobody is going to hunt him for doing this anonymously, and if he really does something I doubt he could get away with the fingerprint he has already left in place!

This is one of the ways he can try, first let him start VPN, then Tor and see if such a combination will work in his case. I tried it and it works without any problems, but I have a paid VPN and I have no problems with Tor functioning on the desktop - the OP on the other hand has a free VPN and for some reason Tor is not working as it should.

Sorry if it looked that way but I never said I use them all together. Normally I use VPN's to access the forum or browse the internet. As for TOR I use them when it is a must! But now that I am facing this P2P issue, I have switched to TOR. But the thing is I have a shit connection. And I always faced issue using TOR, somethings it just never connects, I know I know I should probably change my ISP, or package. This is how it is. 

Man don't take it that way, I'm not involved with anything illegal. LOL

Proton VPN offers much better service but if it does, it is premium. I have never used the free version of Proton. Perhaps the VPN itself is causing this problem to make them purchase premium. If you are only using CPN to hide your location or IP address, then you can use the TOR browser instead. However, even if you can maintain your privacy here, it will work very slowly because TOR mixes many IPs, due to which any site here takes a long time to load.

Not sure about that Proton VPN but the VPN's that I use works flawlessly on the forum. I use multiple VPN extensions and each of those have worked fine on this forum.
