I think it's hard to say which coin gonna lead the market, but first of all it's better if you will decide in which market you want to take play: financials, medicals, services and etc.
Then looking on fundamentals of project, its product/team and etc.
Now mostly I look at financial sector, it looks for me as the most promising.

Yes, i agree with you. It is not good to invest in any coin blindly. Behind every good coin, there is a successful project. So, it needs to know which project may give a good harvest at present. And then one should select the coin to invest in it.

I've investing my money into privacy coins and utility tokens with good team behaind that project, i think only that 2 type of coins can be survival on future, and also i've bought numbers of POS and masternode coins to earn some passive income
