Most governments that say they are going to ban cryptocurrencies tend to do so out of ignorance and fear of the unknown, it has always been this way, not only with cryptocurrencies. Some time later, when they really realize what cryptocurrencies are, after several studies and meetings with experts and advisers, governments realize that they can take part of the pie by collecting taxes, and that's when they love cryptocurrencies.
I agree with you but some other country government do it just to punish there teaming youth out of a means to punish them like my dear Nigeria. The government had earlier said they where looking to study the cryptocurrency and blockchain but never told the country their findings but later to come out with an announcement banning Banks from operating or blocking any account related to crypto transactions which is the dumbest thing they have done.

Guy I hear you and that your point is on Point  :D I too don't believe they was any good reason for what they did but this wouldn't stop cryptocurrency but I believe just like previous posters, a government in come that understand crypto ecosystem and will make a reverse policy with regards to crypto trading in Naija.

The governments of most countries cannot control crypto but its use can not be banned the use of crypto is complete in the online world and even if you invest the government will not know its information. In that case I do not think that cryptocurrency will go to banned countries all countries will accept cryptocurrencies.

We who work in Crepto, but all of us work illegally. Do not have the validity of Bitkian in our country yet. So we're working illegally. Although we work illegally, we have gone ahead with other ways. It has been called Bangladesh but from one of the progress.

I don’t know which is worse when the state prohibits cryptocurrency or when the state is under sanctions and thus it is impossible to participate with many projects. Just because your state is not playing correctly on the world stage, ordinary people suffer.

I think they will continue to live in peace. Before that they lived without a crypt and nothing terrible happened. And the economy is not based on the crypt.

They are banned mainly in those countries where they cannot provide more or less normal regulation of cryptography. It's easier to ban than to take control. But this is not a way out. As a temporary measure, yes, but only for a while. Many countries did this and then allowed it again.

Developed countries should be able to accept the presence of this Cryptocurrency, because this is a modern payment system that adopts the Blockchain system. Where the Blockchain is very safe, and even now there are many government systems in the world that use this Blockchain technology. I think that in the future all developed countries will be able to openly accept Cryptocurrency and legalize it as a currency.

For me I think there's Hope for the country that ban Cryptocurrency use in their country there must be away out of the ban if there's a change of power from the leadership that ban Cryptocurrency use in the country then we can see Cryptocurrency coming back to use officially in that State, for me that's what I think could happen.

The countries that banned cryptocurrencies are just market players.  Banning cryptocurrencies is an integral part of the manipulators' game that allows you to reduce the cost of specific cryptocurrencies and buy them at a low price.

Yep, it is possible even if it should take time to make sure all the developed countries are aware enough of the advantage and the security of using cryptocurrencies. However, I am not sure all cryptocurrencies will be accepted to use as currencies. The governments of the countries must allow only for some cryptocurrencies, seemly the most trusted and top crypto coins only.

We know that cryptocurrency but is not legal in all countries.  There are many countries around the world that cryptocurrency is not legal in all countries.  However, even if there is no legitimacy, but they are not backward.  Even if they do it secretly, they are working and moving forward.  There are many countries that do not have the legitimacy of cryptocurrency but they are far ahead.  As for our Bangladesh, there is no cryptocurrency legitimacy here, yet we are working and our country is in a much better position, despite the fact that our cryptocurrency is not known in this country.

Re: The fate of countries that ban cryptocurrencies
« Reply #44 on: March 18, 2021, 12:12:40 AM »
My opinion is that all bans are temporary. And the future is inevitable. Who among us could have imagined 20 years ago that we would have a smartphone in our pocket which would be hundreds of times more powerful than desktop computers. So will crypto software be banned, but time will force its acceptance.
