In my opinion, basically, to buy during ICO is still the best choice, with the aim of getting a cheaper price of coins. But, of course, this will have a bigger risk than you buy coins when they have listed on the market / exchange. Yeah, the project of the ICO coins maybe scam, cancel ICO, choose a bad exchange for listing the coins, coin prices very low after listing on an exchange, or etc. Perhaps for those reasons, investors prefer to buy the coins once listed on the market / exchange.

I prefer to buy at market prices because it is more convincing. If buying when ICO prices are not as expected will increase.

I'd say definitely market right now, its looking pretty rough on the ICO field right now, since liquidity is a problem, and people aren't even investing in ETH currently, much less IDEX moonshots.. Some coins I've wanted for the longhaul I bought on IDEX for 75% below ICO price, because the market has just been that bad.  Unless you're a seed or a private sale investor, you're gonna be better off 99% waiting til market in these current market conditions.

There is many different factors to this whether are you willing to take risk or not. Coins you bought in the market might be lower at times but if it is a good ICO project most probably the coins will be in high demand and the price might be higher than the ICO price and without any bonus.

I think if the ICO has a really solid deal then it could be worth it, but coins usually dump after the ICO ends.  I'd say if you really believe in a project then invest in the ICO, if you're looking to flip them then wait until after ICO, you can easily get 2x or 3x as many.

That will depends on whether is that particular ICO a good project or not, most probably if the market is good after ICO the coins price will moon very fast due to the high demand and holders plus when you buy while in ICO you got extra bonus which is an advantage over buying of coins in the market.

Yes it is we can buy ICO tokens at a very affordable price when ICO still ongoing and most of them gives us high discounts and bonuses. Crypto market now is just starting to recover after a long drought and obviously most coins are lossing it's value after they ramp high in the market at last year ends. But once the market recovers again for sure most cryptocoins will soar high in the market.

In my opinion, both buying during ICO and in the market have its own upsides. Buying in ICO, the price is clear stated as in some stages. The investors also may get the bonus from the purchase. But when in the market, the investors can buy the tokens very cheap from the bounty hunters (often).

No I prefer buy bounty when ICO is sale. I see the market, If green I will buy it.

There are instances that cheaper the price in the market than during ICO. So it depends on how the team wanted to manipulate or to manage the token when listing happens.
