A currency is what the people accept to trade with and generate value from. Bitcoin is considered as a currency irrespective of the attacks from the banks and governments because its users accept it as a medium of exchange.

I think crypto currency is good asset to hold for long investment. It also the best payment methode and the future currency.

It is more appropriate that Bitcoin is not a currency, but commodities for investments that can be traded and have value.

Bitcoin is money, but in digital form. Bitcoin can be used as a medium of exchange and investment. This is no different from investing in dollars. It's just that, the value of bitcoin is higher and unstable than fiat money. But from there, a bitcoin investor can make a profit.
