if I trade for the short term.

when I do 10% then I leave to trade (so as not to be greedy), and if the token I bought has decreased to 5% then I STOPLOSS.
because falling too deep is very painful.

My plan is: I buy new altcoins (mainly FTO, but I'm also considering TRON, SL and EOS and others that are constantly introducing on CoinDeal), then I hold and sell with profit for some time when their prices will grow. I usually go for long term for most of my coins and then switch to day trading afterwards

I do both. I have a coin that I invest long and short. For the short term, I save bitcoin and ethereum because these two coins are coins that are so many fans that their value is more stable. And for the long term I hold back several types of altcoins that I have learned before.

Don't be greedy and not closing your position when the market goes in your favor, don't be scared of losing and closing your position when the market goes again you. Always have a strategy in mind before entering the market and adhere to it no matter what.

I think short term is not advisable at this time, crypto market is in collapse now. Better to do a long term trading, definitely if you push in short term strategy you will be lose. So long term is a best way now just observe the market situation and when its recover and maintain the price value so go for the trading in a profitable way.

What do you think about buying some, hold and then selling in parts with a profit? I applied this strategy to my first investment in FTO (https://futurocoin.com/) and I can't complain about the profits yet!

I think that's fine too for me (own opinion). My plan is buy a coin at the possible lowest price then once the price elevated or goes up then you can sell it with lots of profit.

I like the idea of constantly buying small amounts of coin over long periods of time.  It can have a nice effect, and in some cases create a more stable average price for myself, and by small I mean really small, but it's still pretty cool.

I don't buy too many coins. Just choose to invest in some promising coins. And better to buy coins that have already in top 20 coins in coinmarketcap.
