Can ethereum replace bitcoin?

Ethereum is the best coin after bitcoin and therefore ethereum has the potential to defeat bitcoin, but ethereum must try harder if it wants to defeat bitcoin as the strongest.

I am just curious with the people who want to see Ethereum replaces Bitcoin. Yeah, it is possible since Ethereum in the second position, but I think it only can replace the number 1 rank. However, Ethereum won't replace the history that Bitcoin is the oldest coins. And it is the only coin that made by Satoshi.

It's better to think optimistically, because this is part of prayer. Ethereum can replace bitcoin. But it's always when, it could be 3-4 years ahead. Hopefully.

I think it's difficult because every day the crypto technologies are growing fastly and more than better although the whole cryptomarket is depends the bitcoin thus past six months ethereum price is affected too badly but ethereum is the King of the ICOS.

I agree, Ethereum is a strong and well-known project, but it definitely won't be able to take the place of Bitcoin. In the history of Bitcoin cryptocurrency will always remain the number 1 coin, but I believe that any altcoin does not need to strive to take the place of Bitcoin. It is much better if project teams will develop their projects in order to constantly improve their product and benefit their community.

Ethereum coin team doing a great job on the upgrade and convience many investors to purchased more but for now i won't believe that this coin will replaced Bitcoin within this year.

 the capability of ethereum to compete bitcoin won't be able even though ethereum successfully continue developing the market.  think and imagine  the history of bitcoin in  past years is many bounty participant effected the  declining  of price and many thoughts time to bitcoin replace by others coins,but as of now bitcoin continue to live .the crypto market the whole community bitcoin is most demand  and  supported by investors,so i can conclude never happen ethereum replace bitcoin . there's no reason to be  ousted in throne

No . I do not think it's possible for any cryptocurrency to replace bitcoin.
Bitcoin can be likened to the king of cryptocurrency because it was first created and so more recognized.

btc slowly but surely takes a position as a means of accumulation. eth is still technology for smart contracts. they are not competitors to each other.
