COINBASE ADDS SUPPORT FOR POUNDS STERLING

Coinbase, a recognized exchange of cryptocurrencies, now allows deposits and reserves in pounds sterling (GBP), according to a company announcement on Wednesday. The British exchange division offers the possibility of making deposits and withdrawals available on the same day from its platform, most of the acceptable cases.

In the statement, Zeeshan Feroz, president of Coinbase U.K, commented that the system replaced the method previously, in which customers had to convert their values to euros before converting them to pounds.

The previous process had several days, an aspect that the new system improves completely. "Customers can deposit and withdraw sterling pounds and use them directly to buy and sell cryptocurrencies, not only because customers benefit from the speed that this implies, but also because they reduce costs, since they do not have to convert pounds into euros and vice versa. Add or withdraw funds, there will be no more exchange rates, "explained Feroz.

According to Feroz, both individual and institutional clients will benefit from this, adding that the new wallets "will allow investors to make almost immediate transfers, something essential for traders and funds that need to establish and withdraw from their positions quickly." In addition, he confirmed the company's intentions to enter the European Union market.
