据bitcoinist报道，BIS研究主管兼经济顾问申贤承（Hyun Song Shin）在此前的采访中称：比特币和其他加密货币“远远没有能够维持货币体系”，并且实际上只是“伪装” 作真实货币。

区块链技术的难点在于当技术具有金融资产的属性，然后伪装成货币时，会产生了可能无法完全实现的承诺，从而使其应用变得更加困难。Shin总结说，即使加密技术得到改进，经济学中的问题也将继续存在。
