I have to agree with you. I'm not young and I've learned how to trade. when I started, the drops started as well, so nothing came of my plans for a long term. but I tried my hand at short term and I managed to make profits on quick flips when the altcoins price changed dynamically. I prefer investing in new currencies such as FTO or NEO.

Yes, it is not too late to invest in cryptocurrency. I think so many altcoin that you can buy for get profit. XRP, EOS, XLM, EBCH etc. are too good each other. You can take this chance.

All of the coin have touched their strong support and bounce back, the 1st basic is you should learn a basic technical analisys to know how the chart movement, know when to get in and when to get  out.

In this crypto market, there no late word my friend. Despite you join later but if you choose a good target and good time to step in, you still win the old member. For now you can take a look at the top 10 and take 2-3 coin than doing some research stuff about their applications, their function, their team and hold for more profit in next year

It is interesting that as a new member you started from new currencies. You were not disappointed? I was also wondering about the FTO, for example. I checked FTO on coindeal and it looks interesting.

it is never to late to start investing. You can either r invest in ripple ethereum or Neo they all have good potential. But make research on them
