MEW - really safe. But inconsideration can cost very high. I strongly recommend: 1) use SimiliarWeb to check statistics of the website, 2) make a respective bookmark, 3) check the site info using relevant tools.

I have many tokens in myetherwallet and I use it because it is just convenient although I take all the necessary precaution when it comes to accessing it because of the possibility that the site I will be accessing ends up to be a phishing site that's why I access it always through my bookmarked making sure that it's secure. I wait first for the site to say it's secure before I would input the information.
