One the disadvantages of ETH is that the speed of transactions is not so good and ethereum is not a platform which is as efficient as other faster cryptocurrencies. Many trades have suffered from this disadvantage.
Main why, i think the price has been moving up and down lately, but i believe it may go around $400 at the end of 2018.

Not only ether, All coin is has countinusly down, this is not disadvatages just market not yet respon. I think ether has much advantages than disadvantages. Because ether use many new coin.

Disadvantages of ethereum now, I think the ethereum is high volatile. But I believe It will be more stable at the coming future.

I will think maybe is the speed of transfer which is due to the amount of gas you are using so if it is able to keep the fee low and fast this problem can be solve. The amount of transactions might be the key to this problem as well.

Yes I agree mate. I think the disadvantages of ethereum is the low speed of transaction.

Isn't volatility the common feature of every coin?  The whole crypto market is volatile, and the prices are really hard to predict. Take Bitcoin market as an example. In 2017, Bitcoin price reached the peak, with nearly $20K and it plummeted down to around $6.5k now. So the decreasing price is almost $13.5K, which is a very huge gap!! When Bitcoin ETF proposal is awaiting the approval from SEC, Bitcoin has an explosive rise, increasing 10% less than one hour, extending to $7,546. But the price fell down to around $6.5K soon. And the same happened several days ago, big rally, and big drop subsequently!

In my opinion, it depends on the progress of Ether made to adapt to the transaction. Low fee and fast speed. Also, any supporting fund given by billionaire or giant companies would raise the market cap, but such an increase would not last for long term.
