eToro bitcoin to pay for major football deal.

The eToro investment platform has signed a deal under which bitcoins will be paid to sponsor teams of the UK's Premier football League.

The Israeli company said in a press release that, with the help of SportQuake sports marketing Agency, It has entered into new partnerships with seven UK Premier League football clubs for a number of sponsorship activities, including gaining access to players, digital rights, ticketing, and conducting interviews.

The deal, which is expected to complete within six months, eToro includes partnerships with clubs Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Southampton, Brighton & Hove Albion and Cardiff City, and claimed as "the first brand in bitcoin".
