Sure, Bitcoin can go up 100% from here but altcoins can go up 1000% much easier and much faster, given their current marketcaps and lack of liquidity. But do not wait for too long, buy at least a small amount of altcoins at current very low prices and smile later when majority suddenly (re)discovers altcoins, many of which outperform Bitcoin is all technical aspects. Pretty much every noob investor and speculator is dumping altcoins now so you should be slowly buying them.

Yes I agree. I personally prefer ethereum and litecoin for short term investment.

No. Bitcoin now is also good coin to buy as it is dropping in sometimes. If you will hit the perfect time when drops deeper it would be the time to buy altcoins and bitcoin. We don't know until what day this will last. So better to buy now if you have money.

Most likely the bottom has already been found in mid-August, and now only it is not clear how long we'll hang out, I would do in altcoins have not climbed as practice shows it's not worth it.

For altcoin the person needed a huge knowledge needed about the Project and ICO. For treading altcoin is good but there is a great risk where you can loss 90%. So i guess its better to hold bitcoin for sometime. I think bitcoin will rise again and will be higher than before.
