Is the price of ethereum dependent on bitcoin?

I don't think it's the same because it was affected by Ethereum also going down with when the price of Bitcoin rose.
This contrasts with those who always say that the two of them walk side by side.

I really like Ethereum because Ethereum is simpler and widely known by people.
So I always monitor Ethereum prices when compared to Bitcoin prices.

In my opinion, it depends to some extent, because we can look at the coinmarketcap and see that when the price of Bitcoin rises, then the price of Ethereum starts to rise. When the price of Bitcoin falls, then the price of Ethereum falls.

In my crypto life i see only one time that BTC price was gone down and ETH price goes up. Otherwise all alt coin price depends on BTC and there is no doubt because buyers and sellers must pair their tokens with BTC.
