between the two, which one would you invest in and why?

Yes, XRP is the best altcoin for the long term investor as it is well supported by the bank. I believe that XRP will grow stronger and easily surpass Ethereum in the near future. Litecoin still has to be my pick because I believe Ripple in third place will never let me down.

Yes, the Airdrop event slowed the price of RIPPLE, but I believe with the team calculation and the development of cryptocurrency will help XRP grow in the near future.

Litecoin as a coin is not particularly attractive to me, it would be better to choose Bitcoin, and before the problems with SEC, I would choose Ripple, but due to a problematic incomprehensible situation I stop my attention on LTС

Because this question was asked in 2018, at that time many people still thought which coins they would invest in. But if that question is asked now, I believe the majority of people will choose Ethereum for their investment. Riplle has had a lot of problems lately, and it's no small matter.

However, after the SEC filed a lawsuit against top executives of this company on December 22 for unreported use of ripple coins, its price fell from $ 0.6 to $ 0.2. The US exchanges began to exclude this coin from the listing, and today you can see that it has dropped in terms of capitalization to an unprecedented fifth place for it, having lost its fourth position to Litecoin. Therefore, the dispute is still being settled in favor of Litecoin. If Ripple regains its position, it will not be very soon.

Currently the two coins you mentioned are in great demand.  These two coins occupy a wide place in the cryptocurrency, but compared to lite coins with ripple coins, huge coins are more popular.  Ripple Coin is investing more and more due to which Ripple Coin is the most popular.

For long term investment then definitely is litecoin, I don't think XRP can increase for more because it's a centralized coin and also the supply is very huge. I guess XRP is good for short term investment only.

The survey makes everything quite clear (although we have only voted 5 users). I think we all have a feeling that the SEC is going to bring down Ripple and it shows itself in the market too. But XRP is holding up more or less well for now. Anyway, I keep Litecoin over XRP.

Ripple and the Litecoin both are the best but the Ripple coin is the best this time so many negative news are running but i hope soon these news are going to be wrong and they make their proof negative and the XRP coin go high again and make their place on the top like before.
