All ICOs aren't scams but most of the new ICO, IEO are Scams. Few projects are coming regularly that are good but it is very difficult to find out the real project for everyone. The recent EMIREX project, IQ Cash project are good to invest. Before invest in any project, an investor need to research about that project.

If I have 5 Eth, maybe I'll use it to trade. Because indeed I prefer trading than investing in ICO. I prefer to buy tokens that have already entered the market, because usually new tokens that are newly released on the market will drop in price, and that's the right time to buy new tokens.

You can buy icos but you must choose good icos or just hold the ETH so my opinion both are good because the current market situation is really bad thus altcoins and icos are affected hardly so just analyse then you choose any one.

ICO now hmmm is something else. You can look into IEOs on popular exchanges like Binance, Poloniex etc. However, it really had to participate. Some IEO ends in 4 mins so if you aren't fast you will. Alternative you can invest in small market cap coin. Which my favorite is $AWC by atomic wallet and some few others

NO, you are better to invest in IEO. ICO isn't the recommended place to invest anymore. Too risky and probably you just lose your funds if you force yourself to invest in ICO without complex analysis. Only a few ICOs that can have a good future, others are just scams or potentially failed projects. If you analyzed the current trend in ICOs, the interest of investors is very lack because they are afraid that they just wasted their funds. However, it is your own decision, and not all ICOs are bad, there are still a few quite good.

I think it's time to forget about the fundraising models as an ICO. There is a huge number of promising coins that are already available on major exchanges. Or take part in the IEO. Everyone should understand that the ICO era has already passed.

Ofcourse,  If you have 5 ETH,  you can buy ICO.  ICO is more profitable.  But You must learn the ICO,  man behind project,  read the road map and see the project.
