You can see the quality of coins based on rank in CMC (this is in my opinion). although there are still many that are good at the top 100.

but, as a beginner, it is recommended that you learn to invest first. even though you buy coins in rank 1-10 in CMC, but you don't see the market conditions and don't know how to trade. then you will loss.

I think,  If you like to do day trading,  you can buy ripple XRP.  It is very profitable. You also can buy bitcoin for long term investment.  It is my opinion.
