I'd say Bitcoin is "safer" than any other cryptocurrency out there. But with cryptos (especially with the bear market) diversification is key. However, if you diversify, some coins will be winners and some will likely go to zero. There's nothing "safe" about the crypto market, but I think the risk is worth the reward.
