Can the world really go digital with crypto?

I just watched the video about Softbank CEO how things will become interconnected in future. One from his management team also mentioned about crypto, am I very confident that we can go digital with crypto.

Now electronic transaction has taken over cash in hand transactions; i see that as the foundation where crypto would just take over fiat permanently when the entire world gets to know and understand cryptosystem.

This world is very complex, consists of many different culture, regulation, and also habits. There are some countries that cannot accept crypto for their matter in daily because of some matters.
