I agree with what you say, Ethereum is indeed king of Ico. Eth is the only coin that is most used for ICO projects. and I also see, because the ICO makes Eth a phenomenal coin and many are known by the public. it might be more appropriate as the queen of altcoins.
and the king of all my coins feels more appropriate for bitcoin.

ETH can be a mother of ICOs as we have many ERC20 token under ethereum platform. This is also the source of many scam projects.
