When you have just one account and are interested in the topic of the forum, it's not so hard. But when you are building a farm of dozens of accounts just to cheat others, you are not really motivated to write something from all those accounts. And most those who use AI are cheaters and cheat different ways.

But let this topic stay without discussions, because moderators pay additional attention to it to monitor probable violations reported by users, this topic is for reports.

Here we go again. I found a user copy-pasting AI responses and he is doing it with tricks. He is adding some star (*) to avoid AI detection. If you check his post-history, it seems like he is the Godfather of AI-generating posts. He is writing essays with the help of AI. As I can see, the thread still exists. Maybe because I did not report the thread using the report to moderator button. Should I report the thread using the report to moderator button? Moreover, this guy has several other threads that are created using AI. Should I report these threads too? Do I have to provide detailed information? For example, I have provided the proof that this thread is generated using AI, should I check all those threads using AI detector tools and gather the proof first before reporting those threads? Or is it enough if I just use the report to moderator button?

Yes, I didn't delete the topic and other topics, I just locked those ones which don't have any active discussions at the moment.

It is not needed to report posts via report button additionally, moderators will do some work after they see the post in this topic. You can also use a report button if you want, moderators of that section and global ones will see the report either.

I wrote what I have done so that other moderators when they'll look at this case knew what is already done and can make additional things if they think it is needed. So probably some additional measures can be done by some other moderator.

When you see multiple violations, it is good to mention all of them in the post where you inform about them.

The language he uses sounds fabricated to me but I've looked for plagiarism and tried to detect if he had used AI to write it and I can't find anything. I don't know if it's one of those cases where he's used AI in his native language and then translated it into English. The thing is that I see he has -5 karma, so I guess other people have spotted him.

As I mentioned in my post, that was just a reference post for the report. I used the link to report it to the moderator, and I am happy to say that the post was deleted quickly after the report. The user came online after the last report, and he probably saw the report as well. But he did not post anything. I will leave his other posts for now until he write something new.

You should not mix up your personal life with your forum life. The spam stayed for a while, and it won't harm if it stays for another week. So, you don't have to rush to handle the reports when you have a personal emergency in real life. I liked one thing admin said, I have seen this somewhere that admin said "Life has enough stress, the forum do not want to stress you" or something like that. I know that you are the only moderator on our local board, but you should take your time during an emergency.
